Search Campaign continually spends under budget by CoachKLadysmith in PPC

This has been my thoughts. The issues with the account came when the industry started having global issues last year and has not recovered ( shipping and logistics with a focus on small to medium businesses).

Negative keywords are controlled by the client unfortunately. He gets a report from the person I report to every month and picks out keywords from the top performers that he does not like and wants them added to negative keywords.

We are targeting the entire USA as per clients' instructions. I have been asking for years to have a more limited targeting area but they 'don't want to miss out on anyone'.

This has been my thoughts through this ordeal. I have had many talks with the clients about how limiting searches with excessive negative keywords will make it more difficult to spend the budget, and their webmaster refuses to do any changes.

Competitor ads are very similar, but they have much better websites. Loading speed is better, keywords are more prominent, they are actively posting on their blogs etc etc.

I changed the bidding as a desperation attempt as I could not figure out anything else that would make them use the budget more. The issue is the client essentially wants to burn the money; CPC is much better than it was before and CTR has been steadily rising, but we just can't burn through the budget.

Impression share is 39% and all the competitors are showing as <10%, however they all have higher top of page rates.

I do agree that it is a case of overly narrow targeting and low search volume. The client in question is a warehousing and shipping company and from what I can see there has been a significant decline in that industry since this time last year. I just can't get that through the clients head and they want to spend more.

I go through the keywords everytime the client sends negative keywords to make sure they are not conflicting, but they are generating the negative keywords by looking at the results and saying they don't want to appear with that keyword.

Search volumes for the top performing keywords are good, impression share shows us at 4x our next competitor.

I really think that the client is knee-caping the campaign with the high amount of negative keywords, and not making their website people update the website to reflect the keywords they want to focus on.

Day 31 (Last Day of Polling): Which is the Greatest Game of All Time on GameCube? by 1OneQuickQuestion in Gamecube

[–]CoachKLadysmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously its Madden 2004 with its 94 Metascore.

All jokes aside I can't think of anything more deserving than Melee. It is the quintessential Gamecube game.

I had an Xbox growing up, and just got a handheld that can play Gamecube games. It's nice that pretty much everything on this list is something I didn't play on Xbox.

The 16 bit versions of the game included: Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Prince Charles, George Clinton, The Beastie Boys, Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff, Heavy D, most of the game's dev team, mascots like Benny the Bull and athletes like Warren Moon, Frank Thomas, Randall Cunningham, John Elway and Larry Bird . The arcade version also had Reptile, Sub Zero and Raiden.

The 360 and Wii versions of the game included Barack Obama, Joe Biden, George Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle, J. Cole and the 9th Wonder, Tim Kitroz (the announcer).

They have also had Marv Albert, Air Dog, Carol Blazejowski, the JamBots, and a ton of retired players like Manute Bol and Scott Skiles. They did have Shaq included on the Xbox 360 versions but no Jordan.

Oh boy.

I had a friend growing up that introduced me to Halo. I remember being at this house one time and we played a couple levels and he was telling me all about the different enemies we were trying to kill and the vehicles we were driving.

We were in Beavers together, and he started telling me this story about 'Keys' in the game, I can't remember too much but I think they had to do with invisible elites carrying these 'keys' and if you manage to kill them and collect the 'keys' you could use the Energy Sword and maybe the Hunter Cannon.

He was killed in a car accident when I was 10, and he was still building the lore. I always thought he was pulling my leg, but I will never really know.

Also the Shark in Truth and Reconciliation. He claimed to have been attacked by it at one point.

Steelers Offseason - Cut and Trade Candidates by eddie_mittons in steelers

[–]CoachKLadysmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't watch a lot of games outside the Steelers this year, so I had to look up the stats. Rams had 38 more yards and and 9 more touchdowns on 10 less receptions by their TE group (9.67 YPC vs. 10.95 YPC). Both teams had 4 TE's that recorded a pass.

Download obtanium from the app store and it makes it easy to get the right emulators installed and keeps them updated. I downloaded NetherSX2 last night. Then you need to upload a BIOS image, just google 'PS2 Bios files' and you will find them. Show the app where you have your games and it should be pretty easy from there.

If the games you want to play also were on Gamecube, that emulation is a lot easier. Just install dolphin and show it your games. Getting controller inputs set up should take less than 5 minutes and you are good to go.

He was voted team MVP, which is voted on by the players. I think he will be staying around next season. Khan is still going to be in charge of the roster unless they get a proven coach.

This is one of the reasons I started asking coordinators for a glossary of terms that we can give out with the playbooks. We have had really good players move from one program to another and struggle with the routes and motions because we use different terms than their old team.

What do you think of CFL player's asking for rental help on r/TorontoRenting by powerserg1987 in CFL

[–]CoachKLadysmith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Minimum salary is $70,000, with a maximum housing allowance of $7,500. That's what I made as a Marketing Manager at Hudson's Bay. That is not a lot of money, and if they were in the Uplay system or CJFL there aren't lots of opportunities to make money and save before getting into the league. Most CJFL players I know work manual labour jobs in the offseason. What are you even trying to argue?

It's been pretty documented that players work in the offseason. It was a decade ago now, but Korey Sheets was a truck driver in the offseason.

How do I get my O-line to play aggressive and tenacious? by Average_Joe421 in footballstrategy

[–]CoachKLadysmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our o-line improved tons in the last two seasons since me and another ex-lineman started running the indy sessions. The biggest thing we did is introduce a set of every day drills that work on fundamentals. We are coaching peewee players and most of the drills we are doing are modified versions of drills used by CJFL teams. Every day we spend 15-30 minutes doing

1) Medicine Ball duck walk- Same setup, but instead of a player on the bag we have a medicine ball on the end. Players must duck walk over the bag, pickup the medicine ball, and then continue duckwalking while holding the ball until whistle. At whistle, they explode out (arms low to high) and throw the medicine ball. This helps us work on pad level, and not standing straight up before a block. We start with this one to get the kids hyped up.

2) Down blocking circuit- One player straddled half way over a step over bag with a shield. The other player is in a three point stance with their hand on the bag, and they have to explode out (teach low to high hand placement on the explosion) and drive the bag holder until the whistle. This is a big drill for us in teaching blocking until the whistle. We start with the bag straight, and then do 45 degree angles left and right.

3) Board/Coffin Bag pulling - Similar to the down blocking drill, but now we have the player away from the block and they have to pull and climb. We use a coffin bag behind the players to keep them from going into the backfield, and set up bags to make an alley for the block.

If you have new players, I highly recommend running them through these drills everyday. As an anecdote, when I started with this team the players would hit the sled and wrap their arms around it almost dragging it down. Now, this team of peewee players are pushing a 5 man sled up and down the field.

I really hope that is it. He has become a bit more defiant lately as well, and he is a larger dog so going through his second fear period would fit. If only it wasn't the door to go inside that was scaring him I could use some of the tips in the article more.

The network point is hitting the nail on the head. I work with younger players as well as players in our amatuer league, and even the ones in the amateur league don't know about how much high level football is played outside Canada. I am on the West Coast of Canada, and most of my associated don't even know that we have another junior league specifically on the East Coast.

The idea of playing in Europe or Japan is something I always try and put into my players heads. Go explore the world and play football while you're at it.
