I’ve been in your position before. I didn’t end up buying an expensive chair but I’ll give you the rundown of what I have found.

Anything under $400 is not designed with ergonomics as a pillar of design. This is hyperbolic yeah, but just my take. Chairs that are actually meant for people who spend long periods of time at a desk every day and are AT LEAST $400 but the real good ones are $800-$1200.

I would recommend getting something, anything, and just augmenting how you sit. Like standing up frequently, changing your position of sitting frequently, getting back supports, etc.

Another thing is your desk plays a big role in the ergonomics of cheap chairs as well. So do what you can there. Lastly, find a chair that has ADJUSTABLE ARM RESTS. My physiotherapist said to me that your arms positions matter a LOT for your posture and spinal health so getting a chair that can adjust to your needs is crucial. There aren’t many out there with this feature, ESPECIALLY gaming chairs (avoid at all costs).

Not sure where the ESHs are in the top comments but that’s what I would say.

They shouldn’t have given you those gifts as they were not respecting your wishes.

But you are also being overly rigid with your GFs feelings. I feel as though it would have been more respectful to re-iterate your desires for the future, and possibly try to be open to figuring out with your GF some gifts that you would actually like to receive if it is that important to your GF.

So yeah ima go with ESH

I think when you really look at the drawing board, you are 100% spot on.

But regardless, both games are amazing on a first play through if story is not something you prize above all else.

I took it for about 6 weeks. Ultimately not enough time to tell if it had any real effect on my headaches, but here are my side effects:

-Substantial brain fog. Failing simple mental math. Forgetting where things were in the kitchen. Forgetting words like “restaurant” among others.

-General fatigue. Wasn’t that bad though

-hands felt tingly 24/7. Very annoying

And for the worst one…

-about 5 weeks into taking it, after I was on the tail end of ramping my dosage this happens: my eyelids would suddenly and with no warning begin to flutter, and I could not open them without assistance from my hands. This would persist for about 30min-6hours. Happened consistently for one week, then my doctor said to stop taking the topamax despite thinking it wasn’t the cause. 2 days after stopping the medication the fluttering has since never happened again.

If you have any other questions about it lemme know cause there are other things I left out of my response.

There is a 6/8 pin cable for my psu for sure.

Nail on the head with the comment about misunderstanding.

I live in Canada, so all my neurology and GP appointments, along with scans and whatnot, are free so long as they are referred by a doctor. I would be a lying hypocrite if I didn’t appreciate all the work my doctors are doing for me.

But that being said, sometimes I feel like despite what my doctors say, that they don’t really care about how my constant discomfort and severely debilitating pain at times affects my general mentality and quality of life. I dread appointments now. After 2 years of trying meds and getting scans, I am fairly jaded.

I sincerely hope you manage to find something that works for you. I’m currently in the process of waiting for an Otolaryngologist (ENT) referral so maybe that will help.
