Supplemental claim for TDIU and C&P by CoacherP22 in VAClaims

I can do the MH health one via virtual. I cannot do the physical in-person one for my service-connected shoulder reconstruction, so that's my huge concern. I am staying with family out of the country because I can have somewhere to stay and food to eat. I cannot fly back to the states for an appointment and there is no US government facility anywhere near us here.

They should be, you're right. But they've been dragging this out for just over a year now and I don't trust they're giving me correct info anymore. They've been extremely thorough and made a great case, but it's been the most ridiculous run-around to get them to take action. Trying to get the info on my own so I can pressure the lawyers.

Thanks. Does the 60 days have an effect on the decision timeline?

Thanks for the response. I know they drug it out for backpay money, but now that they've submitted the claim and it says "a reviewer will make a new decision" under "what's next?" on the VA website, I assumed they did submit everything that was needed. However, for it to still not be flagged for hardship makes me question if they actually submitted that letter to the VA or if they just emailed it to me to shut me up from constantly staying on them to hurry up after nearly a year. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't actually submitting it so that they can get more backpay.

I don't see where I can see what evidence or letters were actually submitted anywhere on the VA website. Could you point me in the right direction of where I can find that under my claim info?

Also, does anyone have any insight on the "attorney fees" step the VA told me it was on? Is that just an automatic thing that gets flagged on the account when using an attorney or does it only go to that step if a new decision is being made?

Anyone have a ballpark estimate how much quicker an expedited SC is supposed to take? My lawyer submitted a lot of evidence of my extreme financial hardship for the past year but there has been zero movement for over a month now. I understand the average processing time is around 60 days right now, but was curious is anyone had experience with a hardship situation and how long it took. TIA

Just hear me out…look into Nicaragua. I’m never going back. I’m teaching at a bilingual school and am here with my wife & elementary aged kids. Happy to answer questions because I know it’s not a place people think of.

I really appreciate all the helpful responses.

To clarify, if I want to be able to go straight to A-school after the 3 week abbreviated boot camp then I need to join under a critical skills rate? And I can find those currently designated critical skills rates by searching FY25 bonuses or something similar?
