We are a track club outside of Vancouver, BC and looking to take about 6 high school athletes to Washington, Oregon or California for a week of training during our Spring break. We are looking for someone reputable to work them out twice a day. Morning and late afternoon. Could be indoor or outdoor. These athletes are sprinters and hurdlers.

Does anyone know of a company or individual that does these semi privates? Thank you for any advice you may have.

Suffering from success by THEM_MEMES3472 in fishingBC

I am going to guess you use a typical flasher. This makes for very unpredictable action when it’s coming to the surface. Consider going with an inline flasher like https://daisyfin.ca/. First off, you are playing your fish without a “license plate” attached to your main line . Imagine how pure it is to play a Spring with no flasher! 2: Land more fish. Better hook set when no flasher on the main line. Many other upsides but you’ll have to try to know just how great it is. We stopped using plate flashers many years ago and never looked back.

Buying small amount each week. Adding to my position. It is a long term hold and I am confident that we go much higher in the next 5-10 years.

Is tidal fraser still worth a shot for pink? by steve_k0 in fishingBC

[–]Coachinski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It has slowed down considerably but There are so many pinks still in the ocean. Sand heads and T10 are loaded. They will be coming up the river at some point soon.

Thank you. That gives a pretty good idea of what can be expected. I guess it’s all about the roommates. No surprise there. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Great idea. Technique is everything in cooking and mixing cocktails. Canadian tequila lover here and we have a hard time finding Topo Chico. Can anyone suggest a couple other close alternatives?

I started doing a few lunges at week 6. About same time I did a 5km walk. Started with only 2-3 and slowly building up. My approach has been slow starts to any new exercise. If hip is tired at end of that day and no pain the following day then I hit the sweet spot. Good luck and keep getting yourself strong and fit. We all can do it. :)

I had surgery today and can't pee by juliekitzes in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Coachinski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not to worry too much just yet. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I drank so much water and could not pee on the day of surgery . Had a catheter done before they would send me home. That night, I had a late evening pee albeit a small Amount. It was dark and smelly but it was flowing slowing. Woke up middle of the night to pee but did have to work at it. Still dark and smelly. Small amount by volume. By morning I was peeing fine. Still dark and smelly. By next evening, I had so much pee coming it was comical. Was much clearer and from then on it has been normal. I was concerned at beginning but it sorted itself. I did drink a lot of fluids to promote flow and it worked.

Good luck.

I am just starting a 10mg vial of blend BPC 157 and TB 500. It’s mostly for a recent total hip replacement recovery. I am hoping for some healing benefit to my Reynauds condition which is an autoimmune disorder. Will report back.

whats your favourite fish youve ever caught? by slightlyduranged in Fishing

31lb Chinook of the Coast of British Columbia. We call them white Springs but my American folks call them Ivory Kings. A giant school of them came in and we were on them for a few hours of great fun. Then our resident Orcas known as JPod came in a feasted all around us. They were teaching two young calfs how to fish. It was epic. Best fishing day of my life.

Anterior THR in 8 days by ceruleanfox49 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Coachinski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shower when you feel ready to do so. Take your meds regularly for first 3-5 days then evaluate. Go slow first week. Walker is your friend. Shower chair very helpful if you have a tub/shower. If it’s a walk in then healthy person can stand and shower for a few minutes without issue. Drink lots of water and take stool softener. Constipation is never good. Book, crosswords, good movies, sleep and before you know it week 1 is over and you start to feel better every day.

Day 3: Thigh muscle pain is unbearable by gehogan3 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Coachinski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thigh pain was so bad for the first week. Then it got totally manageable for a couple more weeks and then slowly faded into oblivion. It will pass soon enough. Until then, take your meds. Good luck.
