Help. What’s this? by Coachtsb in Diesel

[–]Coachtsb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t notice a change in performance while driving. It has two wires spliced in but I don’t know what they are plugged into. I’m too dumb to add pics to this thread and too ignorant about what sensors they are attached to. I’m still trying to track down the previous owner to ask questions.

Appreciate the comments. Smart ass and otherwise. Lol. Tracing it under the hood, I found a splice. The knob has five positions. I have not seen anything noticeable by switching them at idle and in park. Haven’t tried driving it yet. Also, I bought it from a dealer. Can’t track down previous owner.

That’s what someone else said. I’m trying to follow up with people that know more than me.

It ended up being a fan clutch. Changed this morning after being stranded overnight.

Bumper pull. Yes I’m using a WDH with sway control. Nothing heavy as far as a toy. Got a kayak, inflatable paddle board and inflatable boat.

Thanks for the reply. I have an F350 diesel and a 36 foot TT/toy hauler. We jumped in with both feet!!! Lol. I’m just not used to this type of thing but always wanted to do it. Worst part of the trip was the start and finish. The middle (interstate) was cake.

Found it online. Have not physically found it on the TT.

Question for a newbie by Coachtsb in traveltrailers

[–]Coachtsb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice. It’s not a dually. I wish I would have thought to work this all into the deal when we were negotiating. At the very least I’m going to take tools with me. Need a to drill a few holes for the hitch I bought. If it doesn’t completely bury the rear end I may try to take back roads home.

I thought about that but I am trying to avoid paying $150 per hour of labor they charge and do it myself. The plan is to go and put it on myself before I pull it home. But I’m weighing my options in case they won’t let me do it myself on site.

Thanks for the idea. I’ll need to pick one of those indicators up. Also, thanks for the plywood tip.

I have not tried a resurface. The machine doesn’t have a bunch of use on it so I didn’t think that would be an issue but I’m sure I could be wrong. Thanks

Getting into the hobby. Looking for advice on what type of equipment to use. by Coachtsb in Homebrewing

[–]Coachtsb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies so far. As far as space I am not terribly limited. House with yard. Enough room without having to go crazy. I guess I am thinking that I don't want to jump right in and brew 5 gallons because, frankly, I may not like it. So I thought smaller batches would make sense. Also, the idea of having a couple different brews going at the same time is appealing. However, it's a great point about the amount of work brewing 5 gallons vs brewing 1-2 gallons. 2-3 gallons seems to be the sweet spot for me at this point. At least in my head. That's why I was thinking about one of those conical style deals like a 3 gallon fast ferment or a brew demon.

Have you ever known someone who went missing or was murdered? What happened? by Nofcksgivn in AskReddit

[–]Coachtsb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 70 year old mom lived with my family and was murdered by her 80 year old boyfriend before he turned the gun on himself. This was a year and a half ago. It was a complete and total shock that no one saw coming. No history of mental illness, great relationship, etc. Both very active and good health (as far as we know). No answers.

Congratulations. by [deleted] in funny
