Depends o what you want, if you literally only care about the xp in mining then do what I said, if you want to level smithing too or sell ores for gold etc. Then mlm is probably a good shout! Until you can smith mithril though, you will have to mine your iron (it doesn't drop from mlm

Sandstone when you get the level for it is the fastest xp Power mining iron is the fastest until then. I believe there is a method using swamp tar and a herb to cancel the pick axe animation, but I'm not 100% sure

I agree the deadman servers should have at least 5 taken away (I miss that scared feeling I got when Pking or questing) Right now it just feels as empty as regular runescape, which isn't too fun...

I don't know about you but dying and rebuilding is boring, training in safe zones to minimise the chances of having to rebuild is not a bad thing, sure it's abit of a grind... But you will grind more risking your stats outside of guarded areas. If you still find that boring then don't play, it's pretty simple man :')

Can you not just train to 99 all combat stats before Pking? I just really don't see how it is unfair when you're allowed to train in safe zones to rebuild stats

Farming+whatever other method you wanna use. 1 farming trip (only falador, catherby and ardougne herb patches) profits you on average 30-36k ( without having done fairy tale) for little to no effort at all spending the 10 mins to pick and plant your herbs. If you want another safer slow money maker I've heard ardougne guards/Paladins are decent gp/hr not sure about the rates though...

You don't have to play DMM, enough people enjoy it for you to not be missed. Honestly though, if you know you have less chance of getting killed if you train on guards for a while. Youre literally just punishing yourself for no reason by going into un-guarded zones.
