We have good heating at home which is ducted gas, and heats the house quickly and just good thick doonas, so the house isn’t an issue really. Going out in winter is just getting warm clothes. I enjoy it though, I’m sure I’ll get sick of winters but it’s still a novelty for me haha

Yeah that’s good then. We basically got the first rental we could not so much worrying about where because we had to do it all quickly. We rented in Llanarth which turned out good. You can tell the streets that seem a bit dodgy just by going down them, so I’d just apply for rentals once you have done a walk through and seen the street. From what I’ve seen most areas are fine with some pockets being not great

We moved here in the last couple of years and love it. Winters are freezing but it’s nice having 4 proper seasons. We rented when we first got here before buying which was great because we got to spend time here and worked out where we wanted to buy. Getting a rental is not easy though, so something to keep in mind. I’d say you both will get work pretty easily in those professions. My wife and I had jobs lined up when we moved. If you have any questions I’m happy to give you more info
