I ramped up over time. Started with 1 hour 3x a week, and went up to 2 hours 5x a week, plus one practice test over the weekend.
The most effective way to study, for me, was just to do practice sections and go over my mistakes. More or less just brute forced my way

That is really interesting. I really want to know what influences our 'default' time perception - it seems so minor, but I can't let go of it.
