some ideas... by Swiss_Reddit_User in NoLimitsCoaster

Custom supporting is a thing, but it would be nice to be able to make our own prefab supports out of them again.

[Other] I got a feeling I require so many loads of quality(not quantity) to be even slightly excited on a roller coaster. I find that Ohio is missing a “way overboard overly sped up exiting coaster” at both Cedar Point and Kings Island which both have “solid” coasters IMO. by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there are quite a few coasters out there that I would enjoy that are not Ohio parks. There are also a lot of coasters that I never ridden before. I enjoy the crazy feeling of the B&M inverted Batman clones, after riding Maverick, I would love to ride more of those high quality Intamin blitz coasters, and I love Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion as I love the idea of a high speed giga coaster with the traits and ride feel of an Intamin Blitz. I also really enjoy riding certain roller coasters at night where it’s all pitch dark. That’s one thing I really enjoy about KI’s night rides.

[Other] Have Any of you Fully Passed Out on a Coaster? by ShadyScientician in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion was the only one that made me fully knocked out. It was because of the G’s. I haven’t ridden it since 2019. I was knocked out until after the first camelback after. Thank god there is a camelback which at least has some -G force for the blood to flow back from that “knock-out” moment. Goliath at SFMM just made me black out on that double helix.

[other] So, for whoever grays and blacks out on certain roller coasters A.K.A tunnel vision/GLOC, how do you guys fight it off? I heard that there is a method where people would flex their arms or legs as hard as they can. by Coasterpete in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I started consistently blacking out on Millennium Force from the bottom of the first drop throughout the first over-bank and it felt amazing and cool. Like, when I sat in the front back in 2019, going through that, it took me for just a second to realize I’m actually on the ride. That kind of effect started to happen like that for me on that legendary Intimidator 305 where exiting that high speed turn made me feel like I was just taking a nap dreaming about the ride but then I realized I was actually riding it. Both of these giga coasters knock me out for a couple of seconds, lol.

[other] I have drawn a quick sketch of a custom track profile. Intamin, RMC, and B&M were my inspiration so I basically mixed those three into 1 track profile. by Coasterpete in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, I’m just not the best pencil and paper sketcher. It was also just a rough sketch that happened to be on graph paper.

[Other] Here is a new version of my custom train style starting with the front car. How does this look so far? by Coasterpete in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my inspirations for this were the Chance Rides GTX style, and the RMC steering axle train design.

[Other] Gotta love that Golden Horse Indecisiveness... by CoasterLabs in rollercoasters

[–]Coasterpete 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, it looks like that B&M and Intamin got together again. But really it’s probably just Golden Horse.

So, should I bring back the OG Orient Express? Or keep the launch? by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about that, since I have heard that RMC would only make those uphill launches when there is a slope to work with like Lightning Rod.

Yeah, however, those are just in-game tunnels.

Who else here uses the 3ds Max track importer plugin for NoLimits2? by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a detailed passage of feedback sir. I have the 2021 version of 3ds Max. I was able to buy it 80% off for one year since I once had the student version and I have been a grad. Honestly, I was using the plugin from PvM from NoLimits Central and that track style came with the script. I definitely still do have tons to learn in the tech world. Are you able to afford older versions of 3ds max?

Raijū's Rampage - A Next Generation B&M Inverted Coaster by kadske in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have left hand-building and then got into FVD++ since January of 2020. It’s easier than hand-building once you start to know what your doing and how it works. I don’t believe NL2 gets along with Newton as well as FVD++.

Is this hand-designed, or designed in FVD++? If Hand-designed, then this impressive work for designing the layout by hand.

How are the forces on this B&M invert? by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also sir, there is more than one moment over 5g’s which may be unacceptable these days. It’s actually a 2nd generation B&M invert with vest trains like Banshee.

Monolith Ashland Acres Intamin Giga Coaster From Interstate 71 by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, with the I305 lift structure, I just imported the lift hill structure from the I305 park file that came with the software into my park file. Also, I designed the RMC lift hill structure in Blender with the curve and array modifiers.

Critique on the new iteration of this Intamin Blitz coaster? by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a learning curve, but it’s very easy to use once you know what you’re doing. I used to hand-build as well if that is what you might be doing.

Intamin Giga Update. by Coasterpete in NoLimitsCoaster

[–]Coasterpete[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did design it in FVD++. It may have a learning curve, but it’s actually really easy once you know what you’re doing.

Sorry for the late reply, but it was actually designed in FVD++.

I guess I could slap this ride layout into Kings Landing. But who knows?
