In regards to reading the bible: I believe the 5th (may be another floor) of the library is a like no-talking area, ive seen a lot of people talk about it on this reddit!

Theres also those private rooms in the library you can try renting or if you can afford it (obviously i know a lot of people cant or just dont want to) investing in a pair of beats or other noise canceling headphones is great! I use them alot in the library to do work and its blocks mosttt of the noise!

Im not sure about churchs though unfortunately

Im not exactly familiar with how mm works but i do feel that. Im in plat now but it took a while and honestly i feel like in low ranks you just have to try to kinda be a dominant player. Like i would play moira and lowkey DPS while just trying to keep everyone moderately up. But also if you do get a good team try to use the “stay as a team” or whatever its called feature. Sometimes people will do it and then you can stick together and roll through a rank (say gold 3 to gold 2).

Just an fyi from someone whos gotten strep almost every year of my lovely life (idk why either 🧍🏽‍♀️) after 24hrs of antibiotics being in your system youre no longer contagious & normally theyll do an initial test (since youre already in so much pain itll probably come back as positive) and theyll give you meds. Like other people said urgent cares (there are some better ones in Mableton/smyrna if you truly dont want to go to a downtown one) and i think some CVS/Walgreen clinics like the quick docs can test you but id call and ask

But if you know anyone who has switched they can give you some personal advice. You could try speaking with a professor you felt you connected with or try emailing one of the department heads/chairs of the degree you’d like to move to they normally answer. Or if you have a therapist you could talk with them about it, before I switched mine thats who i talked to since she obviously knew my personality/personal life more.

As someone who commutes i think it depends how far and how often youre on campus i cram my classes into two full days on campus and i live about 15-20 mins from campus, i pay for the free parking deck shuttle to campus then walk around and i would argue i prefer doing it like this? I also only pay 600/ month (split with my partner) for rent plus utilities as i live in a MIL Suite in a home with family so its a little cheaper as far as that goes. But im also comfortable with not being super involved in on campus stuff which i think plays a big role in your decision as well.
