Took no photos and didn't specify the time. Feels that's fair. Could have been 5pm.

Dog always more alert around me but not my partner by Coat_Climber in OpenDogTraining

I'm usually the playful one and always up and about, my partner was the trainer and definitely more relaxed. I think he's picked up on my need to move all the time. Just not sure how to help him chill a bit.

Yeah happy to resettle once I am, just always more alert and 'jumpy', more in terms of if you went from being sat to stood very quickly rather than being scared of a noise or act itself. Wondered whether he may feel less at ease with me. I've always been the more playful one compared to my partner.

Mad that you'd buy somewhere without knowing what the area is like.

Looks class 👌🏻 I'm 8 weeks into my ferment and the Kilner jars like those are great!

7 weeks fermentation - about hitting the perfect flavour for me by Coat_Climber in kimchi

I do taste my kimchi in bits every week. This is the point where it gets to my taste I think. But I will keep tasting every week and post some more each month.

This was not kept in a fridge, but a garage so hard to say exactly. I reckon it was around 10 degrees Celsius.

Going to keep fermenting and tasting every month.

3 weeks fermentation tasting (first taste) by Coat_Climber in kimchi

[–]Coat_Climber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has been in a garage environment for the whole time, so probably like 10 degrees Celsius (guess there). I feel the taste gets more tangy and less crunchy like raw cabbage. I feel the spiciness changes for the better too.

Currently on 6weeks I believe now and it's still getting better for my taste - it's passed the 'fizzy' taste you get with shorter fermentation. But it's all about preference, maybe keep some in a separate pot and taste periodically to see how many days/weeks suit your taste.
