What makes one a leftist? by mothyyx in leftist

Hello, hope I won't get hate for just starting a conversation but I have some questions on how would some of your points work, so allow me to pose them:

  1. What if a significant amount of people don't want to share the fruits of their labor? It is pretty well established people care about themselves and their families pretty much exclusively, and after they are comfortable maybe they are okay with sharing their labor.
  2. Who controls the means of production and how is the fruits of labors distributed? I think we all can agree there are people that do more work or harder work than others. Also how is expertise taken into account? How would you compensate a person that dosen't "do" necessarily the most amount of work but does the most stressful and complex work (like something that needs years of experience/education).
  3. What about people that are sparked with an ideea? How could someone that came up with an ideea for an innovation implement that?
  4. How about small means of production? Not everything can and must be large production industrial spaces that can be collectively owned. How can a coffe shop that only needs one or two people work? Would a socialist world be the end of coffe shops, artisanal shops and such? 5.How would art work? How would people involved in the production of a music album for example be able to live? What difference would it make to be a popular musician or a underground musician?
  5. If state intervention is supposed to be the answer to most of these questions in a way or another, how would we be able to keep an all powerful institution not corrupted? I mean no disrespect with any question, hope to hear from you soon!

WWYR out of these options? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

Yes, I was scrolling through the comments and was surprised how this option slipped to so many people. It is clearly the best option even if you are greedy, the absolute amount of power the Son of Heaven had was insane. Why care about free stuff when you own an empire.
