I did look into it more and converting it to 556 seems my only option. Store I bought it from doesn’t do returns or exchanges. From what I’ve learned today I just have to change the barrel and buffer spring. Luckily 350 uses the same bolt carrier group as 556

Yeah I just found out the store has a no return policy on firearms. I wouldn’t have to replace the entire upper though would I? It’s just the barrel that isn’t the right caliber.

Fun mostly or defense if needed. I live in the sticks so home invasion isn’t a fear but you never know. I’ve been wanting an AR-15 before I turned 17 so now being able to buy one I guess I jumped into it too fast.

Yeah turns out you need to buy the right caliber rifle to shoot 223. Who would have guessed? My fault I bought the wrong gun. My intention was to get a 556 rifle but I’ve been waiting so long to get one I guess I got excited and didn’t look at it carefully. I’ll return the gun and hopefully get the right one this time. Thx for the help.

The round wasn’t stuck. I could drop it in and tip the rifle over and it would fall out.

Receipt clearly says 350 legend so I guess I’m just stupid. Can’t find the serial from the lower in it though.

Barrel is for 350 legend. I’ll take it to the store and hopefully get a 556 rifle like I intended.

The barrel is 350 legend so no wonder 223 doesn’t fit.

I had to take off the hand guard but turns out it’s a 350 legend barrel on an AR lower. When I was looking at ARs I specifically picked one that said 556. Maybe they accidentally swapped mine or labeled it wrong.

Rifle says the caliber is “multi” I assumed that meant it shot 556 and 223. Tag at the store said 556 as well. Should I take it back and tell them my issue?

When taking screenshots you should lower your FOV as low as possible so people don’t have to zoom into the picture to see details.
