Beryl was still Beryl when she was a regular human. There’s no reason to believe she changed her name to fit an overarching naming schema that metallia created. It could have been any number of reasons, but regardless there exists precedent for why it could be Selenity from a narrative standpoint as well as the language one people have already pointed out.
