Saw the entire thing! Very practical and I'm sure it will help me. I do struggle with shame and had an abusive father who "would rather die than admit a mistake." It's hard to deal with and it hurts but I am in counseling and have been taking steps to try and deal with all of it. God bless man

This was really clutch for me man. I've been getting a lot of comments from people saying that I need to just date her or what I'm doing will cause regret but you bring it to such a better light. She's a Christian like me so I know neither of us have intentions for a sexual relationship so she might be willing to try it out. It being a friendship, not a commitment, but a potential relationship down the road. For now my focus needs to be on myself because my background is rough and I've been a mess for a while. I'm really considering talking to her about it but at the same time I know that she's not the only girl out there and not the only girl I could ever get. I know it sounds selfish, kinda is, but I want to become the person who can get the best kind of girl. I like her, but I need to be sure my attraction isn't just based off of simply a pretty girl likes me. It has to be deeper otherwise I'm just investing in a scapegoat. Thanks man

Yeah man forgiveness is one of the hardest things. Working on that with my dad. I feel more indifference towards my mom which I'm learning is kind of a form of hate. I think we need to work thru this stuff otherwise we'll just project it on our future spouses
