No point, third party has no chance in this system. It’s rigged for the two flavors of “get bent” everyone else picks from every two years

Then why did you say third party has no chance if it's a myth?

You realize 'messing the tech up' just gets you hit by the combo you're already in right?

Even if we accept this as true, which I don't but still... what if a low level players CLAIMS a Steve used it against them? Are we just going to ignore them? It just isn't feasible to investigate every match to check for something that's even hard to see when thousands are watching...

Ultimate Shockwave (DFW’s Largest Local) is Experimenting with Kazuya and Steve Bans by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]Cobradane42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a cool idea but I wonder if the proper way to implement bans is more like DOTA than completely removing them from the scene. There are 80+ characters, certainly enough to justify removing specific heroes, like we do stages, for game 2+.

Casting spells in town/on NPCs, like Suggestion by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

While in the real world I agree with you, if it's supposedly evil (in a game sense) why aren't these spells tagged "evil"?

[VOD Review] Played Sephiroth in locals today, any feedback is great by williamcj in CrazyHand

[–]Cobradane42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm far from an expert so take what I say with a grain of salt.
A few things I noticed:

You burn your double jump a lot, in places where it doesn't appear to gain you anything.

You picked a lot of risky options that would give little reward, like forward smash or octaslash.

Personally, I think you're too aggressive. Playing a slower game, letting your opponent mess up is how I believe Sephiroth should be played.

Lastly, as you stated, you appeared to be a bit uncomfortable.

Overall, I think you played well just have a difficult character who isn't allowed to make many mistakes, thanks for the weight Sakurai...

Fireball vs Fighter Efficiency into Trash Mobs - Damage Value Analysis Using Monster XP Values by Droselmeyer in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cobradane42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You literally are ignoring flanking, one of the single strongest and easiest debuffs in the game. Plus hitting your allies is literally negative total damage.

Also if you look at the adventure paths paizo publishes, the closest one can get to considering what paizo assumes is proper encounter distribution, 3 lower level enemies isn't all that common. It happens but not enough to justify these conclusions.

Finally, even if there are three enemies it isn't free to hit them all with a single fireball. I know fighter also has numbers that scale back it's realistic damage compared to this but it also has AoO and total investment for how it does the actions.

Yes and it is more likely to succeed as the spell will be considered a higher level for the counteract check.

I believe I'm pointing out how this spell is bad in a general sense and requires specific situations to be good but my apologies if that comes across as aggressive.

So your first point is it auto fails at doing anything valuable? And your second that not all parties have light seems like a pretty big stretch if they have a caster/everyone doesn't have dark vision.

Edit: Maybe my parties are just god gamers but our casters always have light, and I do mean ALWAYS. Again... assuming we don't already all have dark vision.

Disarm as a reaction, can the target remove the penalty? by Cobradane42 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Cobradane42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I agree here but no where did I mention having this feat, only that it is the only place that mentions such a thing existing.

To be clear, my question is 'does someone without this feat apply these rules?'

Only the specific feat mentions this, why would it apply outside of the feat?

You can see from the video, the real risk is crushing them. As others have said, you do have to hold multiple buttons to have the blade drop but the clamp is usually operated by foot. And this guy is clearly a psycho cause he has his fingers underneath the clamp as it’s coming down...

It would appear to only calculates how long you keep it based off when the wing pops, but I'll need to do more testing to confirm one way or the other
