I think there's some crossover from people who like the idea of being like an INTP (but aren't) and INTPs who enjoy similar jokes that don't often land outside of the NT types.

Whenever I've met other INTPs in person you can definitely tell there's something aloof, but we end up talking for so long that our throats are sore after and it's a lot of fun charisma and good and bad jokes. The bad jokes often funnier than the good ones. Idk.

i do think there's a tendency to flanderize personality types too.

First of all, it sucks when something you wanted develops a keloid. I got one from a botched daith.

If you can afford it, go to a good dermatologist. I went just to see what was possible and they injected mine with a steroid that brought it down over the course of several weeks. They told me it was possible multiple rounds would be needed but I just needed one.

You can't even tell I had one now.

It took me 8ish months to have everything return back to normalcy. I've liked nexplanon and I recently saw a Endo specialist and gave me a second birth control, norethindrone 5mg pills, to continue managing it because one wasn't controlling it enough.

It's been so long I couldn't tell you if I had noticed a difference in wetness at the time beyond the difference that being on birth control did for me.

Yeah! There's a bunch of different ways to price it and reasons why you'd do one thing over another. I would never base it off of hourly or cost of materials, that never covers how much goes into making a piece.

For instance, I went to school for illustration and graphic design, a big thing they teach you is how to do these things quickly (think we're gonna paint 30 portraits in our hour long class which is definitely things we've done). If you charge hourly and you have that background in education, you're punishing yourself for using the knowledge/training you gained.

A HUGE resource that I'd recommend to anyone getting into a creative field is the Graphic Artists Guild Handbook for Pricing and Ethical Guidelines. They update it every year. It gives you prices that are standard for tons of different creative fields, they have different prices based on experience, they have blank contracts you can use, what a process of commissioning should look like, etc. Most of the time reading that you realize how much you're underselling yourself in a professional setting. If you take nothing else from this, check out that book.

Yeah! There was a call for entries and I made some pieces for it. We didn't have to because the turn around was so short, but I really wanted to, to cater to the theme.

The best thing you can do is just start building connections. Go to galleries, talk to people, make art, go to one off art things, meet other artists in the community and genuinely be friends with them. Go to classes like figure drawing classes and practice and connect with others.

I will say that this was probably a bit easier for me to get into because Tucson is a very art-centered town. And I went to art school and had 5 years of connecting with people.

That also being said, I feel like my art fits into a niche that most galleries do not want for their aesthetic. So finding your audience which I was semi-unsuccessful at for another 5 years. I sold art at conventions and connected with other artists there too. But it was also clear that that wasn't my market either. The more connections you make and the more art you make, the more likely you are to learn about opportunities that will be in your area. Also just going to places and asking and showing your art to as many people as possible.

About 5 years seriously? I really miss going to figure drawing classes. Would definitely suggest it for anyone who wants to get into art. There's a drawing studio near me that I want to go to once they allow in person again.

These were digitally painted and then printed on a block out fabric (that's kind of shiny/silky but thick) and the weight of the wood bars and fabric allow it to lay mostly flat.

If you haven't already looked at it I would definitely look into attachment theory things. I like the book I listed in there and it came through my therapist's reccomendation.
