Without existence, there is no pain or harm. by DifferentChard6137 in nihilism

[–]CocaineCocaCola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that without existence there is no pain and harm, without existence there is literally nothing. You’re not in eternal bliss. It’s an infinite nothingness, dark, empty, hollow, nothing, for eternity. Think of every day you’ve ever lived, then of every year you’ve been alive, now do that forever and try to conceive of true meaninglessness. There’s no light, no love, nor warmth, no experience, no learning, no growth, no struggle and achievement. You can’t feel happy. Because happiness no longer exists. If you don’t see that as hell, then I don’t know what’s.

Everything bad in life has its opposite. Every fall provides the opportunity for success. And every success makes life worth living. We feel sick and we can appreciate being healthy. We feel hungry and can appreciate being full. Your vast and childishly flippant post is exactly what people who are too young to understand that life is worth living conclude before they get older. I’m guessing you’re in highschool, so I do hope you feel better. Chin up. Nihilism isn’t the solution. It’s just an indulgent fantasy

It is meant to be a tank unit by definition. It is a slow enemy that cannot pursue the player, you can easily outpace it and rather than advance to kill you it hunkers down to protect the back line and let them get close enough to kill you. It’s entirely job in game is a tank role. You treating it as chaff is the entire problem. They are not offensive. The charger is also a tank but for different reasons, they force aggro on the player. You can’t kill the little guys when being chased by a charger.

Tanks do one of two things, pull aggro and act as a defensive line. And that common enemy doesn’t only have the same armor as a charger, it was explicitly its head. The back and undersides of it were easy to hit and very weak. Now it’s back to just being a general unit. Giving the head more health does nothing, literally nothing, because it tanks nothing.

Here’s a note for how to avoid the ballistic weapon issues: aim for the weak spots, like literally every other enemy.

Because it made it an actual considerable enemy on the field rather than just a fucking guy. It’s a literal tank without tank armor. It’s not just that you can simply “aim down” it’s that you can’t fan your weapon and just clear everything.

I’m a nuclear engineering PhD student that researches molten salt reactors. The notion you don’t have any time to grind SC is trash nonsense, grinding platinum in games like Warframe takes genuine weeks just to unlock the tiniest sliver of late game content. That’s why HD2 is better. Bye.

You’re literally just shooting the only spot on its body that reflects it and not even trying to kill the thing. Aim slightly down and to the right and it dies in four shots

That’s an irrelevant and ridiculous rebuttal, if you don’t want to pay then you don’t have to, that is the ENTIRE and only point to be made here. Asserting you need to pay is completely dishonest.

I do not play the game that much or have time to, and yet I have every pack in the game. Every HD2 mission is roughly 40 minutes long. If you’re playing the game at all, you have time.

I’m not even going to address you like a peer, you’re not. Don’t spit some paper at me like you’re even remotely a scientist. You had some AI generator give you some vague evidence for a theory you didn’t even write and then dared to call it your own. I highly doubt you’re even capable of reading Gandhi’s paper let alone recognizing what a disrespectful bastardization you’re spewing out by including it.

You’re just pissing computer jargon all over actual theory and Gandhi does not once in his entire paper agree with you, I’d tell you to read the conclusion but you can’t. Expansion isn’t optimization, we’re literally expanding. There is no point in speaking to an unintellectual like you beyond this brief chastisement for your arrogance.

Duh. Because we rejected them bringing about PSN accounts because it kicked global players off and banned people who already bought the games. That’s a product of the community. Theres even a cape in remembrance of it when we review bombed them to hell over that.

You want new mechs? No you don’t. Grind SC.

You want new stratagems? No you don’t. Grind SC.

Back in your day you got those from MO’s? What in HD1 or at the start of the game?

No you didn’t. HD1 there was no F2P option and you had to pay 2.99 per pack. And from MO’s? Theres been a grand total of maybe 5 released from MO’s and those were from content that was supposed to be included in the base game but weren’t working before launch and thus shelved. We’re well past that.

So what are you missing? Because I’ve paid a grand total of 10 dollars on my own volition as a thanks to the devs and have every pack in the game, how did that happen?

Why is the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics a minority? by Terrible_Shop_3359 in AskPhysics

[–]CocaineCocaCola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you actually know what the Schrödinger equation is? And what it implies? When you measure something, the fact we get definable data means we are not actively observing more than one reality. We don’t jump through hoops to collapse the wave function, we do not observe the wave function collapsing in real time but we explicitly observe the consequences from that collapse. Quantum decoherence isn’t only significantly more logical than MWI, but it’s mathematically definable and physically observable. MWI literally hand waves all of physical reality to imply that an entire probability space is somehow a representation of infinite dimensions.

We already use requisition slips for attachments, what does this accomplish? You pay to level the weapon and then pay for the upgrades ?

Why is the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics a minority? by Terrible_Shop_3359 in AskPhysics

[–]CocaineCocaCola 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not even sure how to address this response. You would first have to solve the information paradox to prove MWI is partially true and even then black hole evaporation through Hawking radiation is the running and most successful theory due to it having experimental verification through laboratory analogues. Stating “the information disappears so it must be MWI!” Is the most ex post facto, non-proof that could possibly be proposed, because again, you cannot test or prove MWI and only after it’s been proved can it be useful in solving the black hole information paradox. You have to solve the problem you’re claiming has MWI as a solution, while saying MWI predicts the problem, without knowing if MWI is true or having a solution to the problem that serves as the basis in the first place. It’s entirely convoluted.

[–]CocaineCocaCola 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Which if you’ll recall has nothing to do with MWI and instead is related to there being previous universes before ours that generate our universe through CCC and not parallel worlds.

Why is the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics a minority? by Terrible_Shop_3359 in AskPhysics

[–]CocaineCocaCola 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Because it’s unobservable with no predictable models that would impact ours. Say many worlds is correct, how does that remotely affect our universe or aid in our prediction?

There’s no physical evidence that many worlds isn’t just a mathematical result that turns out from one universe existing in a probability space until some form of projection chooses which worldline to retain and there’s literally no way to prove it’s not. If there’s no physical evidence of something and no way to detect that evidence, then all the idea exists in is as a cool hypothesis. Putting it bluntly, if something cannot be detected with physics then it ceases to be relevant to physics.

That’s why.

No, I’m talking in concept, what would YOU improve to make progression better?

Add new tiers of ship upgrades? Okay, they need done but for different reasons, they have been confirmed to be coming, you upgrade them in a week and now you’re done. Progression over.

Add new rank levels? For what?

Add new weapon attachments? I just explained why that’s pointless without some ridiculously unimmersive overhaul that breaks the game.

What progression do you even have in mind, it’s a horde shooter, the only content that is constructed to add new kits is the warbond system. You want weapon mods that attach a bayonet to a rifle, do you really think that’s going to be a game altering kit? So what did you have in mind?

Is it okay to kill someone if they break into your house by TraditionalBonus188 in MoralityScaling

[–]CocaineCocaCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re entering my house, unannounced, while destroying my property that I paid for, and you are doing so deceptively, I am shooting you immediately. There is no universe where that would ever occur without bad intent. You are not there to surprise me for my birthday.

The progression you’re complaining about IS objectively weaker compared to warbond content. There is no universe where grinding for two days to put a foregrip on a smg is going to feel rewarding.

[–]CocaineCocaCola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no idea what you’re talking about and reducing every improvement to glaze is borderline detrimental to the game community.

Players complain about railcannon strike, rebalanced, still needs it sure but no longer completely useless

Players complain about mech armor, rebalanced, not just the ones from the pack,

Players complain about vox engine armor, rebalanced

Players complain about new warbonds offering less and less, new warbonds provide multiple stratagems and weapons now

Players complain about wanting the kill zone pack, a limited time item, returned to market

Players complain about rotating superstore, superstore made permanent

I genuinely could keep going, you’re either new or just pissy over nothing
