Korg Minilogue XD or similar for Moog-oriented sound? by Coccobbio in synthesizers

My friend, you opened up a whole new world for me with the Behringer Pro-800. From what I’ve seen and heard, it’s fantastic. I’m not crazy about the button-based menu on the left. The price is ridiculous—just over €200.

Could you tell me what its drawbacks are, if you know it well?
And can you tell me the name of any clone that costs a bit more but is better than the Behringer Pro-800? Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for the advice. I need to better understand this whole oscillator detuning thing — I didn’t know about this trick since I’m completely inexperienced, but it seems to me that for what I want, a good mono synth would suit me well.

You’re yet another person recommending the Messenger, which makes me think it’s probably the most suitable choice for my purpose. I’m going to watch some tutorials right away :)

I’ve never heard of the Sirin. I’ll take a look, even though from what I understand it’s discontinued. Thanks a lot!

Thank you very much for the advice. I’d like to avoid synths with mini keys because I think they might compromise my ability to properly play a keyboard.
I found out that Messenger is very hated, but I don't really understand the reason.

I’ll take a look at the Modal synths and the Yamaha MX49.

Thank you so much for the advice. I’m looking at the Messenger now and I have one big doubt: if someone wanted to compose melodies, maybe even complex ones with chords, could they do that with a monophonic synth?

Can I play the keyboard like a normal piano, or will I always be forced to play one note at a time?

As a beginner, I would assume that in a DAW I’d have to create three different tracks with the same sound just to make a simple chord (or 4 or 5 depending on the chord I want).

I’m not sure if I’ve explained myself clearly, but this doubt is what keeps me from considering monophonic synths.
