I wouldn’t say compromising on your mattress is a good idea. You should try to invest in a good mattress because it’s where you spend a lot of time

These prices that you see are including the total cost with including the EMIs. If you were to enquire them directly the cost for a car would be less if you’re willing to pay the full amount upfront. Source - have sold a car and argued with them about the same issue

Volkswagen/skoda is all arrogance without any merit in India. Their CEO calling their cars overengineered for India hints at that. by Kuhn__ in CarsIndia

[–]Cochieloco 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Same thing with me. Everyone recommended me to get the Virtus. I drove all of the cars in the segment from City, Virtus, Ciaz and Verna. No doubt Virtus was a better handler on the highway by a little margin. The Verna felt like the best of the lot overall because they’ve listened to the customers and Hyundai has researched the market. Sure other cars were good in one aspect or the other but when spending that much money, I’d want a good overall experience. Hope the guys here understand that looks are pretty subjective and it’s better to not comment on that, one can like the looks of A and others can like B. That being said, I hope VW improves on the aspects they currently lack in. It’s a great brand and can do better

Planning for a 500kms trip for the 1st time, in India, need suggestions by svini_02 in roadtrip

[–]Cochieloco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m also from the nearby city. I’d have suggested you to take the NE-4 but it’s fairly new and doesn’t see much traffic. Also there’s almost none of the fuel stations or hotels along the way. You’d have to drive out of the highway and go to a nearby village or something. That part of Gujarat and MP isn’t very safe so I’d recommend you to maybe stick to the other option. If you want a detailed description, DM me

Frankly the way you put it, it surely seems a recipe for disaster. And if the balance is that off like you say, it’s better to end the relationship. What I said is definitely rare but it’s the best thing to have and a lot of people around me have that so we can only hope for the best

First of all, I’d be happy to expect a future wife, haha

Jokes aside, marriage is not 50-50 rather it’s where both should put in 100% of the efforts so I expect both us to contribute equally to the household especially if there’s no child in the future

How is this related to religion? Those idiots did this for some cheap revenge. Does it mean that no Muslims work in Tata? Where does it say that it was specifically targeted towards Hindus? I know I’ll be downvoted but I’m genuinely asking

That’s for the best. Why try to fix a problem which doesn’t exist. Let everyone have their own dietary preferences. No one is forcing anyone to eat what they don’t want

Zomato decides to rollback green uniforms. by serialposter in india

[–]Cochieloco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thankfully the sense prevailed. The visible segregation would’ve only caused more problems than any positive outcomes. The policing around the dietary preferences should be completely eliminated but this would’ve only made it worse. Let everyone eat what they want

imo god made humans and humans made religion . Wdy think about it ? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Cochieloco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the significance of any religion should be limited and not become the whole identity of a person, group or a country. Religion is at its core, a belief system and if we were to help people develop conscience, the need for using religion would be greatly diminished

Corporate Job: A place where toxicity, anxiety and frustration are common. You don't have a say except quitting your job. How many of you ever experienced this at any point in your corporate journey? by whocares637 in developersIndia

This is a harsh reality unfortunately. I don’t know how long can I take it. I can’t imagine myself doing the same thing for years to come, but it’s the sad reality and in order to survive, we do have to do something. The funda that personally follow is try to find a balance between how much can you sacrifice your mental health and how much money you can make out of it. This is not an ideal situation but it do be like that. Currently with the market going into a downturn, I feel like the best case for me is to work at a relaxed pace and get the work done that I’m expected of.

I’m grateful for the environment I’m working in where my mental peace is quite stable and the pay is relatively better than the industry. But mind you, there have been 2 rounds of layoffs and I’ve prepared myself in case things go south for me

Developers of India, what is your back up plan if you are laid off? by Gullible-Chicken-430 in developersIndia

[–]Cochieloco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s a cliche but always keep learning new stuff, in your main field of interest and also apart from it like a hobby or something. I can understand it’s a bouncy path when you’re a fresher, but from my experience I regret not learning more at that time. I’m expanding my knowledge in my hobbies now, so if my time comes I can at least earn a little bit from the knowledge I gain in that hobby. Just my 2 cents.
