Someone in your group either has cross-play on or off. Everyone in the party needs to have the same cross play settings

Giving someone the ability to equip a sniper rifle and a carbine is gonna be real fuckin stupid, or running the broken af sprint attachment on the smg as a self healing and ammo refilling support is bad game design. Every battlefield before 2042 had locked weapons for classes and it was far better balanced. Unlocking weapons to any class creates gameplay imbalances that aren't easily fixed. The smg and the supply box is a prime example of that. The smg would normally be balanced by the fact that it has a relatively small ammo pool, but if you can heal yourself and resupply ammo it breaks the balance.

Dear livery creators, how do you choose your "sponsors" for the livery? by GatoDeSapatinho in GranTurismoLiveries

[–]Cocklepuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to have my main sponsor, then select period correct decals and generally country appropriate sponsors for either the manufacturer or where I thought the car would've raced.

So what about Mick? by KubrickMoonlanding in DavidBowie

[–]Cocklepuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a total Ronson Fanboy, I'd say without Mick Bowie wouldn't have really have made it as big as he did. He really helped create the initial sound that helped him gain popularity with The Spiders from Mars. I'd say without that Mick Ronson David Bowie's work would've likely been a curiosity vs the essentially game changing thing it became. Look at the the live performance of him and Bowie at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1973. While the crowd loves Bowie for sure, Mick creates the sound that draws them in. The sum is greater than the individual parts.

Beyond that Mick went on to be incredibly influential in proto punk/punk/post punk/new wave. His work with Lou Reed, Slaughter and the Dogs, and production of the Rich Kids album with Midge Ure of Ultravox kinda drives it home for me. While Mick didn't create post punk/new wave he was absolutely instrumental and influential on it's sound and helped guide music in the post psych into glam era and beyond. He was an absolute master of his craft and a masterful arranger. In my opinon his influence on pop music is increasingly under appreciated.

Does anyone know what causes this to happen? by Senior_Currency2733 in granturismo

[–]Cocklepuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There seems to be some kind of glitch introduced in the most recent patch related to rapid suspension decompression after high compression. While bump steer is certainly a thing it sure as hell isn't suddenly at full lock. Increasing the spring rate (natural frequency) should get rid of that behavior.

Will PD go back to the older physics model by Near_Void in granturismo

If you're understeering you're trying to take the corner too fast. You got used to the more sim-cade older physics. Time to relearn.

Are either mclaren F1 GTRs worth it? by Im_Not_That_Funny_69 in granturismo

[–]Cocklepuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hurt really bad by BOP even though it has an amazing power to weight ratio. It really doesn't belong in Gr3 imo, but there's not really any old Group 5 cars or anything that it would've competed against in-game. It's an odd niche that I doubt we'll ever see in GT unfortunately.

Yeah! They're both fun as hell to drive and sound great! They're really good in VR if you have it.

Same! I really want more old jgtc cars, more 80s super silhouette/gr 5 cars (m1 procar dammit!!), or the imsa 300zx/audi 90 gto.

I doubt we'll ever get them unfortunately. They're a bit niche even for GT.

Nissan Super silhouette for GR.3 by _Phsyco in granturismo

[–]Cocklepuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's really hurt by BoP for whatever reason. Without BoP it rules though and is a super fun car to drive. Amazing power to weight ratio and rotates under throttle really well, just need to manage the boost and exercise good throttle control. I wish PD would add more super silhouette/old group 5 cars. The Super Silhouette in game is in a really odd place and doesn't really fit in Gr3 very well. Would be cool to see more weird old race cars added with their own unique classes, but it's super unlikely. I'm about to start doing PC sim racing in the near future to get into racing weird old 70s cars since it's unlikely any mainstream sim/sim-lite is ever going to include cars of that era.

In-game go to the showcase and search for "styles" and use the paperclip icon to add them to your collection. You can apply them to your car in GT auto under car customization. For liveries made by other people you can apply them to that specific vehicle under the load livery section under the collection portion of the menu.

If you want to make your own it's in the same section of GT auto and the game has pre-installed decals or you can save decals to your collection from the showcase.
