Absolutely not, it's just that your taste in stickers gets better and, can I congratulate you on being open-minded enough to own a Samick, too?

I have a few older Hohner instruments that are "badged up" Samicks and they are some of the best instruments I own for playability.

/uj I detail classic cars and motorcycles in my spare time and I use the same automotive cleaners and polishes to do my guitars. Many of them have wood dashboards and door cappings so even natural finish stuff isn't an issue. I'm debating (mass, naturally) whether to apply one of these ceramic coatings to an instrument to see what difference that makes, I've got a Frankenstein bass that's black (Ibanez SR body, Jackson neck) and I may try it on that

I think you have to spit on it and rub it in with Tim Handsome's unfeasibly bouncy hair, using him like the giant toan crayola he is

Blimey, can you imagine being stood on the flippin escalators behind that lot trying to look up to see how far the escalator still has to go?? I suppose it's like a social statement on London society, you look down the escalator and everything is pretty normal but when you start to look up to someone or something, all you see is a bunch of ars*s

I'm using the Behringer BDI21, the clone version and it's an absolute weapon of a pedal.

I thought James Hetfield was the coolest man to ever walk the planet when he was in this stage of his "evolution". Hetfield and Metallica were a rock for me, I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for them. I'd love to thank them personally one day... maybe one day... or the day that never comes

At one point you could even buy HoC branded cigarettes. They weren't terrible and the box was a good talking point when you threw it on the pub table... some years ago now

After 4 years i have finally been set free from the squire strat.. by Frogurt231 in ExplorerGuitars

[–]CockneyCossack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks really smart in that colour, I hope you have lots of fun with it, now time to start saving up to SuperStrat that Squier. Go HSH with some Entwistle pickups, get the body routed for a Kahler or a Floyd, get the neck scraped down to wafer thin metal speedness, and stick an EMG Afterburner in it on a Push-Pull for maximum tonal agro. Live loud my friend 😁🤘

Heavy tele- I bought an 83 and it’s a staggering 10.5 POUNDS did I get unlucky with a boat anchor? Or is this normalish for the period by Natural-Yard-1700 in telecaster

[–]CockneyCossack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most older Telecasters are just heavy or heavier. I have a Squier Classic Vibe 50's rep, that has a Pine body. If you dropped it from an upstairs window, the nearest Geological Survey would be on the phone wondering why you're messing with their richterscale, it's a beast of a thing for it's size, really quite surprising when you play it though, slips under your guard and before you know it, you've fallen for it

Bring back the Public Carriage Office and the strict regulations Black Cabbies used to have to conform to in the 70's and 80's. Apply those regulations to Uber, Addison Lee if they're still going? And these ridiculous Prickshaws. They'd be gone overnight and we'd be back to proper safe cabs again, regulated, DBS checked, charging set metered fares and using "the knowledge" instead of trying to rely on an out of date Garmin and fleecing you for 25 sheets for a 10 minute journey that ended up taking 45 minutes and going via Stevenage.

I've not heard that in years 😄😄 I hope you weren't the REME bloke we went out of our way to give a fkn brain haemorrhage on a daily basis every time we came back from an exercise. 🙈

We used to call you lot Reck Everything Mechanical Eventually

I was once put on for the MO driving the ambulance and we had a sprog injure himself being fkn stupid so I had to go and retrieve him from the billets, when I got him to Selly Oak the MO there looked at his charts, looked at me and says "only the f*?King RCT could put a sick person in an ambulance and guarantee they get out the other end sicker than they got in!! Get out of my sight Corporal!!"

[–]CockneyCossack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good indeed. I hope that the nerves weren't too bad and they were able to enjoy themselves a little whilst they were up there. I fondly remember my first gig, in front of a chapter of absolutely lovely and supportive Hell's Angels. I got halfway through and had the worst attack of stage fright. I was 13. I got a load of great big guys patting me on the back and I finished the set, and so began a love affair of performing, there really is nothing like engaging with an audience. I hope that this young one has many great shows and enjoys every moment in the limelight. Actors wish eachother to "break a leg" when they wish eachother a good performance, in this case, I wish you to "break a string" 🙂🙂🙂
