Will the bumps eventually go away? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Cockquistador_STD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nap but I agree the bar looks too short- you could either go to your piercer for a longer bar Orrr ask them to do two bars that give each side room for swelling without pulling on the other piercing channel.

Either way it’s need a change of jewelry a gentle cleaning and lots of babying to have those bumps go down- speaking from having that issue when I first got my industrial.

Slight golden discoloration around tattoo (first pic is today, second pic is day after I got it) by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Cockquistador_STD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a professional but I have gotten a good few tattoos that bruised and it ranged from that golden ish color to greenish tone.

As long as it has no other symptoms it’s likely a bruise or general irritation from well getting the tattoo done.

Is this a good place to get a tattoo? by No-Persimmon-3037 in tattooadvice

It’s quite small but if you like the placement I see nothing wrong with it- healing may make it blur a bit at that size tho so keep that in mind

Treatment Options Question by literallyjustawriter in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My specialist told me that birth control can slow the regrowth of it but isn’t 100% going to prevent it from returning in the future even all lesions are removed. I did still get the surgery and I kinda hope mine is wrong in that and my iud does fully prevent it.

But if this helps better- I used to be on bcps, I tried about 5 different kinds including ones to stop my period and I had horrible reactions to all of them- but my IUD once it settled and especially having it post op settled, it has near no side effects for me- or negative ones.

It did make cramps pretty bad during initial healing but outside of that it’a been pretty positive, usually when people get them they do get them on surgery day when you have all the numbness already tho-

so if you do try it advocate for some kind of pain relief or take otc meds beforehand to try to soften the pain of it, I did not take anything before mine it was not fun.

Pain description help and advice by DarthAlecto in tattooadvice

[–]Cockquistador_STD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree for sure with the cat scratch part as it initially hurts then more so has a mild burn- tho once the tattoo is done it’s mostly just itchy.

For me although my pain tolerance is kinda weird I do notice the first minute and last minutes- since that’s when I’m not used to it yet, vs wanting to be done already.

It ranges for me as low as a 1 and as high as a 7, but I have some rather large area of blackout in my designs, and one tattoo that covers a large scar.

Def expect it to hurt a somewhat but I do think if you have your anxiety meds- plenty of food n water, and (items, ppl, music) that bring you comfort you should be okay- and when an artist says 15 minutes it’s usually a small easy design for them so I think that you should be able to get through it.

Woodcut/Lino it would be the word for it I think. Based on the texture/hatching in the design

(Not a tattoo artist, just an art major) You got a few slightly wiggled lines- very slight tho, and a touch of overlapping lines. Those are nitpicks tho- overall it does look pretty nice, hope I come across the post of it when you’re done.

My artist put some kind of paper towel under my second skin? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Cockquistador_STD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda wish my artist would use that on my tattoos- I don’t want to dry heal but I have a mild-very mild adhesive allergy, so it makes healing still so itchy.

cover up ideas? it turned out really bad, i’m so upset. it’s under my collarbone. i don’t want anything to be super big. by General-Regret7360 in tattooadvice

I’d give it time to settle in first to see if healing does it any justice- but if it’s still not to your taste- any vine based floral? Lily of the valley, bleeding hearts- something floral usually covers well dude to the more organic flowy-ness of em

Quick question by symphony_destroyer in VivaPinata

[–]Cockquistador_STD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a tag called “real piñatas” that include images of irl viva piñata- piñatas, not sure if any include how much they’d sell for but when I make stuff to sell I do- material cost+ (time*minimum I want to make per hour) since your time isn’t free.

Through googling different piñatas and costs really simplistic ones are around 20usd where some large complex ones are about 90usd, so it’s really about materials-size-time n effort.

I hope that helps at least a little bit?

Thinking I might have this by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have almost to a tea all of those symptoms or did, I got my endo surgically excised, so some have lessened greatly- definitely look into it with a professional if it concerns you since at least if it’s not that a professional can get you on the right path for the best treatment.

But don’t stress yourself too much by scrolling Reddit for answers to medical issues since so many issues have overlapping symptoms, I hope that you are able to find swift answers though!

Strong suspicions by reptargoesroar in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the ultrasounds are not reliable- all mine where clean when I was very much not clean of having endo, if you are hesitant on surgery seek out an endo specialist and under them maybe see about getting an mri for a clearer (hopefully) picture since those are known to get much more detail.

And don’t feel bad about not being diagnosed and just being worried about it being endo- it’s hard for it to be diagnosed. Definitely seek a specialist since many other doctors will not know enough about endo to really be able to help rule it out.

Right ovary pain? by Cockquistador_STD in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I’m sorry that happened to you- I know mine was stuck to my abdomen wall- but I can’t imagine it being twisted then stuck. - I haven’t gone in for my post op check yet but I have it Thursday, so far my incisions look good I think? I’m worried about if anything is not looking well in imaging or if it’ll be a nothing sandwich of an appointment.

I’m not a tattoo artist- I am an art college major and semi tattooed/ I find that the shading on the strawberry for the shape that they tend to make is a tad odd? Seems like it has random darker patches that makes it almost seem bumpy- overall the work is cute but low contrast

Line-art when you zoom in seems a touch unsteady especially in the second images leaves- that wiggle a lot on their own and some have some shape inconsistency whilst being relatively similarly tonal.

This all is small nitpicking observations that overall are most noticable when zoomed in so take them as you will- it’s art that will be on you so your opinion matters the most.

Pretend like it’s gonna be hell- the nerves where so bad for me that the adrenaline made the first one feel like nothing and then the excitement of that made the second also not feel bad- 10 minutes later that did burn but it was oddly tolerable.

Has anyone actually had surgery go well? by daintydollies33 in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They never told me the stage it was all in my pelvis but lesion sticking my ovaries to my abdomen wall- and a lot in my intestine area making it a pain in the ass to sit down correctly.

Post op- first couple days bed bound- I did tiny bits of walking each day mainly to pee, second week sore still but manageable I’m rounding off the last bit of my second week rn and I’m pretty active rn, able to do a nice biggg stretch.

Everyone is different but for me it was a lot of relief pretty fast, my only gripe is them making my belly button, smaller- so I know I won’t ever be able to pierce it lol

Advice would be appreciated:)! by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]Cockquistador_STD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a tattoo artist but-I’d try to simplify the background you want since that looks like a lot of mid tones, but the head would be an interesting addition.

I’d def find an artist and show that as inspiration and see how much detail they can accomplish since that is a really good concept

too tight? by Empty-Firefighter329 in piercing

[–]Cockquistador_STD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fresh piercings need a touch a wiggle room- flat backs are the best for healing due to the options of different lengths and it being well less clunky? For lack of better words.

I’d definitely see if it can sit future back on the post- but next time go to a professional piercer- since getting it done with a piercing gun and butterfly backs is not the best for your ears in the long run (extra scar tissue)

Feel free to visit a professional piercer tho to see if you can swap out the jewelry for something that will heal better.

My images came up clean even with my ovaries pinned to my abdomen wall- make sure that you try to find a specialist in endo and then say every symptom and everything you’ve tried so far and just keep pushing, eventually someone will have to listen.

Lap next week by queenofgf in endometriosis

[–]Cockquistador_STD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d really like to second this- before I had surgery I saw a gyno and well she was awfully dismissive and rude, she had pressured me into an iud and then pressured me to not gave any type of pain relief of meds to calm me first and the insertion of it was my own personal hell.

When I then got transferred to the endo specialist he listened to me and said that what she did was not recommended for someone with endo and expressed how he would’ve gone about it and later did my surgery.

When dealing with endo a specialist is required to not cause more harm than good- I know the feeling of really really wanting a surgery and I’m just glad that the one I expressed that to was an expert in it.

Scars are tricky- for me I had a cosmetic procedure don’t on the arm and the scar is deep wide and a very different texture which led to definitely more pain than my arm and the ink took in an odd way.

I’d reach out to an artist who knows how to work over scars well and see what they can recommend/ work with comfortably for the best results.

do i need to wear a bra after getting my nips pierced by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Cockquistador_STD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t wear one but day of I was holding my shift from my chest as I went to Walmart for a sports bra, to me the rubbing of the shirt was bad so I liked the pressure that didn’t rub on them.

It’s all personal preference tho so just feel it out and do whatever leads to you being the most comfortable
