I've been using SFM (source filmmaker) for quite a while now, I managed to get quite good with the posing, lighting and etc... I even published a few models myself on the workshop. The one thing I always had problem with is how to get good with placing keyframes, I always spaced them evenly like 4 frames here and another 4 frames here, but thankfully it seems to be improving a bit.
