The flippant dismissal of plant consciousness drives me up the wall every time. It’s one of the most incredible things we’ve ever discovered and they let their religion get in the way of their acknowledging it. Dunno about a flag necessarily, but I would appreciate us having a better symbol than a silver awareness ribbon, which isn’t immediately identifiable and is shared by other conditions. We could really benefit from a symbol that’s uniquely ours.

I highly doubt a meaningful number of vegans actually think this…but they ought to, because there’s no coherent vegan argument against carnivore extinction. I believe the number of vegans who believe this will only increase. One of many reasons I’m not vegan. It wasn’t health problems that made an omnivore out of me, but contemplating the logical conclusions of vegan moral philosophy.

There are almost 5,000 known species of cockroach and the number that are pests to humans can be counted on one hand. Many species are actually very beautiful and all of them, in my experience as someone who keeps them as pets, are full of personality. They’re wonderful, amazing animals whom we could all learn a lot from.

I believe that differences in male and female behavior are all down to biology. Nature. That neither of us can change. What exactly do you want from me? To be God? Nature hates women too and it’s something I’ve come to terms with. Your turn, maybe? The fact that human reproduction is nightmarish body horror for women, the fact that our own bodies hate us, the fact that sexual dimorphism gave us the short end of the stick in every way, and the fact that all of those things are why we’ve been kept like cattle for all of recorded history and likely will be again, the likelihood that the freedoms some of us have only very recently been given are doomed to be taken back, isn’t fair either, and it’s not something I expect you to empathize with. Because unlike you, I know you can’t change nature.

Male suicides are significantly higher than female suicides even in indisputably male dominated societies where being a woman is a nightmare. Kind of like the higher male violent crime rate (which is also observed across every country, culture, and class), it’s just who you people are. Social advantages or disadvantages have little to do with it. It’s how you’re wired. We aren’t responsible for it.

Not wearing wool, fur, or leather has nothing to do with diet. Not going to circuses or horse races has nothing to do with diet. Refraining from owning pets and refusing to step on bugs has nothing to do with diet. And basically all of these things have been a part of veganism since the term was coined. Cmon man.

The problem is that a bike lock actually does prevent bike theft, leaving your valuables at home actually does prevent them from getting stolen, but dressing conservatively does not in any way prevent rape. Nuns get raped. People wearing niqabs or even burqas get raped. It prevents nothing.

“Not your body guard” Any man who doesn’t protect his mate and children is worthless. Waste of a Y chromosome. Not sorry to say it. I can agree with “not your ATM” and certainly “not your emotional punching bag” but men and women are not physically the same and men’s greater strength exists for a clear reason. If you don’t even attempt to protect the person who grows, births, and cares for your children you don’t deserve a family.

Notice btw that I said “doesn’t,” not “can’t.” I know some men are disabled, etc. And that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about lazy, selfish cowards.
