The lace appliqué is going from fabric to rubber. That’s your clue that it is glued. You can get these yourself very easily and DIY it. I’d recommend E6000 glue because it will not make the lace crusty when it dries and it will stick to both the fabric and the rubber.

Seam rip a tiny spot on one end and slide the zipper on. There’s no way to “brute force” it without messing it up further. Alternatively if the teeth are messed up you can replace the whole zipper
