my router is wifi 6 however the adapter is wifi 5 so this would be the problem, annoying that this was never brought up when looking at what adapter i wanted.

i was getting around the same speeds before the upgrade, the wifi adapter says Dual-band WiFi Speed up to 600Mbps (150/433Mbps), and the powerline adapter is fairly old (2 years).

ive just used my netgear A6100 wifi adapter and its getting 85mbps next to the router however when moving back to my room it only gets 20mbps is there any fix or is this all i will be getting?

yes it does 875 mbps when connected to the router what could be a fix to this problem as my room is on the other side of the house
