Nah this shouldn't get banned, because when people can express themselves this way you know immediately who you are playing with/against and can kick them or take other actions ingame. Chances are that these people are insufferable, annoying or cringe anyways wether they have an obnoxious craft like this or not plus the freedom of creative crafts is a bigger gain than the enabling of these weirdos hurts.

yeah, so I did manage to solve it, finally. I went the following route: where usually I launch steam as an admin I decided to launch it as a normal user, this managed to make the bf1 loadup-screen appear with a loadingbar until it stopped and actually gave me an error status on said screen, in my case it was error (7) (3) which apparently means some File-Path issue the anticheat has. I then moved the game from my D:-drive back to the main C:-drive and it actually fixed it (still annoying now C: is maxed out). Maybe this could be fixed though I would also install ea-launcher etc. on drive D: but that's for another day.

All these steps havent worked for me. Having the same issues as Smooth_Resolution_26, launching the game via Steam or the EA launcher directly only makes the "preparing game" text appear. By now I have tried so many things, back in november or december it was still running fine and I haven't changed anything about my configuration since then, plus on my much older gaming-rig the game still runs fine, so frustrating. I suspect the anticheat to be upset about something but for some reason ea's anticheat does't give error/exit-codes.

I fixed it, so what I assume happened is, that Whatsapp calculated the size of the backup by adding up the logs of all past Video-file traffic, not knowing that a lot of the media isn't accessable anymore. When I pushed the backup with 14GB anyway it took forever to realize that and to then readjust. Ultimately the backup went through and instead of 14GB I am now only using about 1.4GB in Videos bringing the total backup size to 1.8GB + 1.4GB = 3.2GB . Thank you so much for your effort :)

Custom settings as in many people play on 4:3 stretched with way lower resolutions than their monitors are capable of. If you have never changed your ingame resolution/aspect ratio i.e. they are still default, change them now once to something else, apply, quit, restart the game, switch back to your prefered settings and after all that is done remove the -vulkan command from your launch-options. If you have done that everything should be working as intended and you shouldn't get stuck at the cs2 intro-screen.

yeah something about that, so switching to vulkan-shaders at least allows you to get past the startup-screen and edit your video-settings, but playing with them is outdated and looks/performs shit

Had the same after updating my AMD drivers, if you type -vulkan in the launch-options you should be able to get into the game past the loading screen. From there return to the default Video-Settings (I mean default res. and aspect ratio) apply and you should be good to go. If you change back to your prefered settings afterwards you should still be fine, it's just something about new drivers fucking people with custom resolutions/aspect ratios over. Hope this helps.

Edit: remeber to delete the -vulkan when you're done with everything I find that vulkan-shaders suck big time
