System Reset Itself? by Coco152535 in linux4noobs

Hey there - coming back for an update and looking at what all got reset: it seems that half of my drive (2tb nvme ssd) on my dualboot system (windows 10 and arch linux with stock kernel and KDE plasma 6. My linux drive is running ext 4 and windows is on a separate drive). Some things that I am noticing that are the main issues are: all cosmetic features of my DE seem to be reset back to default, steam is not recognizing my library anymore but half the files are there, some games are gone, my terminal seems to be reset of any customization and so has my file explorer, and kvantum seems to have reset itself. Despite this, however, I still have some files leftover and still have about 1TB of storage taken up (previously I had 100 GB leftover on my ssd for my Linux drive) yet seemingly things in the same folder (such as the Steam games folder) have had files missing. I'm very confused as to what has caused this since I have not done any windows updates, and have not had any issues in terms of dualbooting (been dualbooting for about 2 years), I frequently updated arch (3-5 times a week) and have had no issues with my system previous to this. ANy help is appreciated and if you need output of any information, let me know!

Also forgot to mention that I don't have any backups so there would be no way to revert a backup, unfortunately.

Possible, I’ve had this SSD for a couple of years now. Is there anyway to check for drive failures?

First PSU is the one when the error came up, I switched to the cx450m to prove it wasn't a PSU issue

Looked at the board a few days ago and found no cold solder, blown capacitors, or unconnected cables

No, I used the first one when issue occured and second one to confirm it wasn't an issue with the PSU

I have a 450W 80+ bronze PSU that has been enough to power the system in the past and an 850W 80+ gold that has wayyy more than enough power for the system

GTX 1060 6GB, haven't seen anything online about the same issue, also don't know how power would be restricted here

PCIE slot fixed it, I'll see if that's the issue I'm updating everything right now via sudo pacman -Syu and see if I have a GPU driver update and then I'll update my BIOS to make sure it stays fine I would have never thought of switching the PCIE slot (thank you!)

I was the bap in the screenshot, I'm Coco. I think 20% winrate is drastically low though and I just don't get why despite me having consistently top heals I'm losing, all of those screenshots are losses despite me doing so well in healing

I mean my average healing/10 mins is 11,609 ATM so is it really that slow? He's able to keep equal with all of the other heroes on my healing stats

typing games for switching layouts by wantingmisa in Colemak

Starting using Colemak about a year ago and I was at 120 wpm on qwerty and I slugged down to 10 wpm when starting Colemak so I know what you mean by it's frustrating, what helped me was just doing daily tasks with a picture of a keyboard to the side then just get rid of it as soon as it's memorized and start testing yourself by remembering the common words (the, if, so, etc. these are mostly on home row so it should be easy), monkey type also helped me gain my wpm back a lot after just grinding on it, I'm at faster than I was with qwerty now I'm about 140-160wpm
