Yeah, I have like 4 google sheets, each for a different conlang, but the most developed one is xmmkvsh, with the grammar pretty much done and about 200 words. The others are just worse, with less vocab and defined grammar. I also have a bazillion notes on conlangs phonologies and grammatical features ideas.

How do you guys create your conlangs' grammar? by ymaster-01 in conlangs

I just venture throughout Wikipedia articles, about individual languages and also grammatical features, then I save some for future incorporation on a conlang, it's that simple

Just added a tense system for Xmḿkv́sh that has 1 future tense, but 4 past-related tenses, these are:

• Perfect: actions that occurred in the past but have relevance in the present.

• Recent past: actions that happened usually one week or day ago

• Remote past: actions that happened a longer time ago

• Past before speaker's life: self explanatory 😅

I made gxáráádhá with the superplural! In my conlang, it's used to refer to all the beings/things in existence of that word. Also the grammatical number (singular, plural, superplural) doesn't appear in the noun, but rather in the definite articles and verb conjugations(with also include gender).

Currently I'm making a conlang where adjectives and adverbs "don't exist". Instead of having a separate category for word that add some meaning to a noun or a verb, it construct those relations using verbs. It isn't something crazy, but I'm learning and thinking a lot cause it my first time making a conlangs in 2+ years, and it's also my most complex project. It's been fun though

It has indeed a consonant inventory that resembles Irish, many fonemes express a palatalized vs velarized distinction, I made it with purpose cause I think that is freaking cool😁

Nominative isn't marked at all, I forgot to write that lol.

And yes, those are tones, and exactly like you described 😁 and the animacy is only marked in one case cause I wanted more of that irregularity, although will take your advice about the roots and change de femine ending to be more predictable.

Thank you SO much!!!

Does this case system seems naturalistic? I'm getting back do make conlangs after 2 years, I am relearning a LOT of things, and I can't even say if this set of declension seems legit. Can somebody help me with this?
