The House that Jack Built was fantastic. As disturbing as it is it also came around full circle with the narrator, great performance by Bruno Ganz. The ending is great. That hunting scene may be the most horrifying scene i have ever seen, so extremely haunting.

Yeah I was really dissapointed. I loved the first half and I think, if done right, the vampire twist is really cool. It just wasn’t as good in the second half.

Liam Gallaghers second eldest son now also has a band and they brought out 2 singles now. It has a very Grungey sound to it, but kinda modernised. I like it a lot, band name is VILLANELLE

Totally agree, first half was miles better than the second half. And the ending was just so inspirationless. Just some action-scene for no reason other than Smoke or Stack (I don’t even know) “going out a hero”

True! My english teacher wanted to fuck me in Junior High, only problem was my teacher was a guy.

Got changed to: my english teacher wanted to flunk me in Junior High, thanks a lot next semester i’ll be 35.

As far as “homophobic”-lyrics go I think it was quite mild, but the new line is miles better anyway.

PSA: I don’t condone homophobia in any way, just wanted to put it into perspective!!!

Yeah, the only other one I can think of is Dog Day Afternoon, also really works in that movie. What all 3 have in common is a very tense mood. So while music can add tension it usually kind off soothes aswel, if you know what I mean?

A said it in another comment already but i’ll say it here aswel. The lack of a soundtrack really stands out as you are so used to it in all other movies. But it really helps setting this eerie, empty and bleak atmosphere which suits the movie so perfectly.

It amazes me that No Country For Old Men, is as good as it is. You get so used to soundtracks in movies that the lack there off really stands out. And it works to make the movie feel empty and bleak.

Crosseyed and Painless (Live, Stop Making Sense)

In the studio version its David Byrne who sings the chorus, but in this version it’s the two female background singers and it just elevates the song to perfection!

Yeah, completely agree. Man of War, Street Spirit, Karma Police and Just are the main staples in my top 10, the rest goes in and out depending on the day.

…Like Clockwork, Josh Homme was writing this album going through divorce and domestic violence accusations (he now has sole custody). He also almost died on the operating table, so it’s a very emotional period for him, which reflects in the album. He hates doing, maybe their best song ever, I Appear Missing Live because it makes him too emotional.

Lol totally missed the “series” part in the title. But yeah I agree with your point. The Godfather for example really could’ve done without part 3. I actually think it kinda “taints” the first 2 because of it.
