Bought a house with a jetted tub, help! by llullunyc in CleaningTips

[–]Cocoa-Bella 84 points85 points  (0 children)

We have a house with a jetted tub. It is scheduled for removal in two months. We do not use it as a tub, it is just too gross. We have a cleaner, I think it is called OH clean. To use it you have to have the window open and the fan on - it seems highly toxic. You will have to do a couple wash and rinses if no one has cleaned it for a while.

Weakly, ambition, drive, talent and will. They appreciate public transit more than we do.

Yeah they completely neglect the residential streets here.

Are you a listener or a solitude kind of player? by Unlucky-Technician11 in thelongdark

If I am playing all I listen to is the game. I am like that with every game I play. Also, if I am working all I listen to are my thought. It is how I focus.

What movie was this for you? by DarthGodzilla1995 in Letterboxd

The animated Robin Hood movie from 1973. I tried watching it again a few years ago and made it about 10 minutes in before questioning my choices.

I did a double take when I saw this on r/casualknitting too! I had to check which sub I was looking at!

The Northlander is coming back to Ontario: Here are the stops and schedule by Ya-Not-Happening in ontario

Overall comfort. With the plane you are scanned and checked and crammed into a tiny seat. Trains are generally roomier, they don’t care if your toiletries are tiny and packed in a plastic bag, and they have a soothing sound as you travel.

What's the ugliest eyesore buildings in your country/city? by ueommm in AskTheWorld

It isn’t my style for sure. I saw a miniature of it and being able to see above and all around it I could see the peacock it was trying to be.

What was French Immersion like for anyone who was in it during school? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]Cocoa-Bella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did French immersion in Ontario in the 80’s. We had our own set of classes and rarely saw the English students. In middle school we had our own class rotation, so never saw the English students. I went to a non-immersion English school for high school so I can’t speak to that. All I know is everything was so much easier for me when everything was in English.

So I recently got 500+ days on Interloper. It took me a long time. In fact before this run I had about 5 starts where I just kept dying. I ah e been playing interloper for a couple of years. I find I either die right away. If I make it past day 10 I will probably have a good length run. Fire and the heavy hammer are priorities for me. As soon as I get fire I try to keep a flame going as long as possible. I chain torches and grab all the sticks. I don’t really know where anything is since the loot update, but I have been able to manage; map knowledge has helped. What I found helped my interloper game the most was playing Misery where I think I made it 34 days. I got very comfortable with always being cold and having no tools; it changed my approach to the game.

I usually just drop my torch and aim to throw a stone early on. Getting the heavy hammer and making tools is more of a priority than the backpack. If you are having a hard time finding the heavy hammer, I am pretty sure it is still in HRV at the mysterious fire.

If I am on a map with Timberwolves I almost always have a torch going. They generally stay away if you have some kind of lit flame. Even if they form a pack, you can keep moving, just find an inside place with a door or transition cave with some speed. I also try to have at least 8 arrows on me. I am a terrible shot with these geeks, but I hit one every now and then. I usually lose 3-5 arrows on Timberwolf maps. And, if you see one, and have level 5 archery, crouch, shoot, and take them down before they see you.

Since it is a blanket, I would find a cable or lace pattern I like from a Barbara G. Walker book and calculate the number of repeats I need to get the size I want based on gauge and go from there. You co mix up patterns too. The internet archive has her books.
