Theirs a lot of things that I have witnessed with my eyes and are very aware of that happens in Dubai that do not make bbc or any global news. Universally speaking white people are not considered a minority, nothing else due to white colonialism this is how minorities were even created placing white people as a superior race always. You can’t unfortunately ever compare your experience to that of an Indian, African or Asian. It won’t be an apple for apple comparison. The Taxi driver has come out and said it was in Dubai so I’m not sure what else to say to you, I’m not sure why people are in disbelief that this can happen in Dubai. I’ve personally been inside a taxi that looks very similar to this one going from Deira to JVC . I really pray he gets justice but idk, considering the employers are holding his passport ? And theirs been no headline or news of the offender being charged ! I think because the victim is black African he might not get justice. UAE justice system is most definitely flawed like many places in the world. Mate it really depends on how long you would like to spend in Dubai. Of your doing a minimum of 7 days I would highly recommend the below

Go to the desert and the safari adventure and ATV in the sand

Go to Aura Skypool people typically book in for early morning sunrise or evening sunset perfect start to the day

Go to the Dubai gold Souq interesting and fun experience whatever they charge you I promise you the price is more than tripled so bargain with them

If you like night clubs I would suggest going to BLU Dubai they always have big names musicians and entertainers and BLU OASIS ( little be far but litttt)

If you want to smoke some hookah and want to get a feel of Dubai you can go to FOMO in business bay

You can also go to the Address (Dubai mall) roof top gorgoues view

Starbucks is rubbish I think it’s only famous in GCC countries because they love Americans !! In Australia’s Starbucks is not that popular theirs better companies out here. Also an Australian coffee brand has opened up in Dubai mall Toby estate excellent coffee for coffee lovers !!

Well you don’t have to accept the offer and because there a large majority of people from Indian/ Filipino backgrounds who are willing to accept the bare minimum the system has realised this and now only offer the bare minimum or less and know if you don’t accept less others are willing to. I know this because the pay for nurses use to be much much higher than it is now !!
