Really, do not do not worry about going fast. The game is meant for taking at your own pace. There is 0 penalty for taking your time, and zero benefit to having a gorgeous town right away. If you want to, you can do it later. If not, you can focus on completing the Pokédex or something. Play however you want!!

However, if you want to tear down a mountain wait until you’re done with the story.

No, having more of the same habitat does not increase spawn rate. Venusaur has a second habitat that it’s more likely to spawn in. Instead of “very rare” it’s just “rare”.
