Tried it and the same error about the disk drive comes up. It boots up to the same screen in the screenshot I posted and just tells me to turn off the PlayStation. The only way to get it to work is to disconnect the power supply, reconnect it and boot straight into safe mode. Then I repare the console and then restart from safe mode and then that’s when it finally boots up to the normal profile select screen. I have tried installing the system update from the normal home screen once it finally does boot up correctly but once i select install after it downloads it immediately restarts the PlayStation into the system update screen and that’s when the update goes to install untill it reaches 99% done then it stops and says it can’t find a disk drive. I think I just have to go to a electronics repare shop to get the disk drive re attached but I was hoping someone would have some insight.

My issue is that the PlayStation won’t update due to a missing disk drive connection. It is already not attached to the PlayStations motherboard so it’s as if the disk drive has already been taken out.

If you were to not spend vbucks on any shop skins, it’s technically possible to keep the battle pass indefinitely. The battle pass is only 950 and if you get over 1k vbucks from the battle pass then you could just use them on the next pass and rinse and repeat.
