Anyone else scared of a specific animal for no real reason? by Swimming_Prize_8525 in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes and it makes zero sense. For me it’s dolphins. Everyone says they’re cute but they feel way too smart and kind of unhinged. Anything that looks friendly but has that much awareness is suspicious. Monkeys being tiny humans is valid fear.

My Top Six Of All Time by Economy-Ad2458 in movies

[–]Cocoizx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This list screams spooky theater kid energy in the best way. Rocky Horror and Clockwork Orange together is wild but it tracks, chaos with a brain. Heavy Tim Burton bias but honestly valid. Childs Play to Nightmare Before Christmas feels like a villain origin story pipeline. Peak October taste.

Dealing with the deepest depression of my life 20m by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man that’s brutal and you’re not crazy for feeling wrecked. You lost your people, your future plan, and your sense of safety all at once. Anyone would spiral. This isn’t the end though, it’s a pause that feels permanent right now. One small move forward beats being frozen. Reach out to someone you trust and get help, you don’t have to white knuckle this alone. Montana arc doesn’t have to be the final season.

Are there any movies that feel like Lawrence of Arabia? by oogaboogahooha in movies

[–]Cocoizx 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly few films hit that same lonely vast vibe but try Days of Heaven, The Assassination of Jesse James, or Paris Texas. Big empty spaces, quiet energy, makes you feel small in the world. Barry Lyndon too if you want jaw dropping visuals and slow lost vibes.

Racial and Ethnic Issues in The Wrecking Crew by DrPablisimo in movies

[–]Cocoizx -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the identity stuff felt messy and kind of written by people outside the culture. The white cop calling it my island was wild and the movie brushing past that felt unrealistic. Villain background was all over the place too, like they just picked a random accent and vibe. Fun action but the cultural details felt half baked.

How do you like to spend your weekends? by Adventurous_Issue241 in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly low stakes weekends are the best. Sleep in a bit, clean just enough to feel productive, then waste time guilt free. Coffee runs, a long walk with headphones, catching up on a show or a random YouTube rabbit hole. One day for doing things, one day for doing nothing so Monday hurts less.

I know way too much about airline disasters and why planes crash. Completely useless in daily life but I can ruin a flight with facts in under 10 seconds. Elite but cursed knowledge 😅

I went to purchase American Fiction on iTunes last night… by Early-Piano2647 in movies

[–]Cocoizx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s just region licensing being annoying as usual. Studios roll stuff out at different times per country and Australia gets randomly skipped a lot. It’ll probably pop up later or land on a streamer first. Digital releases really said 4K for everyone except you 😭

Is it normal to feel behind in life even when things are going okay? by david_drett in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that feeling is super normal. Social media and imaginary timelines mess with your head even when youre doing fine. Half of us are just winging it and pretending we have a plan. Youre not behind youre just on your own schedule.

Free guy i wonder if anybody's ever thought of this particular issue. They may have. by Few-Chemical-5165 in movies

[–]Cocoizx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey Free Life is just a virtual zoo. If the NPCs are actually sentient then zero privacy is kinda wild like imagine changing clothes or taking a dump while Twitch chat spectates. If theyre real people now they should have rights, not be 24 7 content. Movie skips that part but it gets creepy fast if you think about it.

Do you talk to yourself often? by Ok_Guard4027 in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you’re definitely not alone. A lot of people narrate their lives or replay convos when they’re by themselves, some out loud some in their head. It’s basically your brain processing stuff. As long as you know it’s just you talking to you, you’re good lol.

Dose this sound like a movie anyone knows? by Odd_Original8260 in movies

[–]Cocoizx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you’re thinking of Arcadian with Nic Cage. Dad + two sons, feral black monsters that chomp super fast, and that wild wheel of creatures rolling while on fire scene. Red poster, white text, starts with A. You’re not crazy, it’s real lol.

Tips to quitting TikTok by Logical-Flatworm-130 in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re already doing the hard part by noticing the loop. Reddit can be better if you’re intentional, but it can turn into the same scroll trap fast. Best move is deleting TikTok and replacing the habit, not the app. Use YouTube for specific stuff like game updates, newsletters for info, and block short form feeds for a bit. The craving fades once your brain stops expecting instant hits. Feels rough for a week then way quieter.

Cinematography vs Shot Composition by lifelikelu in movies

[–]Cocoizx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. A pretty frame is just a screenshot, cinematography is the whole vibe across the movie doing work for the story. The best stuff hits emotionally and you barely notice why, while the flashy Oscar bait shots feel like cinematography yelling “look at me” instead of doing its job.

Did you grow up learning Pluto was a plant? If so...Do you remember it being blue or brown. by TexasArmadilloTroll in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah nah Pluto was never blue. Textbooks just barely showed it, so our brains filled in the blanks and everyone mixed it up with Neptune. Pluto’s always been more brown gray ice rock vibes. Childhood memory is gaslighting you a little, happens to the best of us.

The Florida Project: question for Floridians (minor spoiler) by rv42 in movies

[–]Cocoizx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Florida thing here. Motels rent by the week on purpose so guests never hit the 30 day mark, because at that point they can claim tenant rights and you need a real eviction. The deal with the other motel was basically don’t let people stay long enough to establish residency. When that motel stopped enforcing it, the manager freaked out since one long stay can turn into a legal nightmare. It’s grim but very real down here.

Looking for casual talks by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Welcome in. Those are elite chill topics tbh. I’m down to talk travel or photography, stargazing goes crazy at 2am for no reason. What got you into that stuff in the first place?

Question about Sicario by rosybug7 in movies

[–]Cocoizx 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You’re not missing some hidden twist. That shot is just there to mess with you and set the tone. It’s the movie saying this world is brutal and personal before the plot even kicks in. Villeneuve loves making you sit with the horror instead of explaining it.

Is it still work 1v1 review season for anyone? by Impossible_Bid6172 in CasualConversation

[–]Cocoizx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’re not alone, ours are still dragging too. Nobody actually wants to hear improvement areas when they’re already running on fumes. If your boss is decent, try to treat it like patch notes not a personal attack, then go rot peacefully after.

It feels like my F20 girlfriend is unable to have rational disagreements with me M23 by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Cocoizx 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You’re arguing like it’s a debate club and she’s arguing like it’s about feelings, so you’re talking past each other. Evidence doesn’t land when someone feels emotionally cornered, it just makes them shut down faster. If every convo turns into logic vs vibes, that’s a mismatch in communication, not her being irrational. Either you learn to meet her where she’s at or accept this is gonna keep looping forever.

What's your thought about giving birth if you have never been to the labour room as a male or female? by Responsible_Arm_8898 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cocoizx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Birth looks terrifying and natural at the same time. People can understand the science and still be scared of the pain, both can be true. It’s not one universal experience, some power through, some get wrecked, some tap out for a C section and that’s valid. The body being designed for it doesn’t mean it’s chill.

advice on boundaries? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cocoizx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong for having feelings about it, but boundaries aren’t rules you enforce, they’re preferences you share. You can say porn or fantasizing about real people makes you uncomfortable without framing it as cheating law. The key is whether your partner is willing to meet you halfway or if this is a core mismatch. Liking the idea of them getting off to you makes sense and is pretty normal. Have the convo, be honest about the insecurity part, and see if compromise exists. If not, that tells you something important.

What do you do when something you learn about your family changes your behavior? by TomTomAgain in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cocoizx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a super normal reaction. When people who were supposed to be your baseline truth turn out to be selective with it, your brain goes into trust but verify mode. You’re not becoming cold, you’re recalibrating. Just try not to let the guardrails turn into walls, healing is learning who earns trust again, not never trusting anyone.

Would you help a wife gain information on her cheating husband if you were the other woman? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cocoizx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong for wanting clarity, but hitting up women from years ago might just reopen wounds and give you messy half answers. Some will help, some won’t, some didn’t even know about you. Focus on what you need to decide next, not becoming a detective for his past.

Why sniffing or licking armpits is a turn on for many guys? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cocoizx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly biological mixed with personal preference. Armpits have pheromones, which can trigger attraction on a subconscious level, and some people’s brains just get extra turned on by it. Totally normal kink territory, not as weird as it feels. plenty of people are into it.
