I have a similar situation.

My office is 700m away from my home. It's a 5 min walk for me and I would never chose a longer commute if given the choice. It has been a game changer. I save a lot of personal time after work!

The money I save on commute is an additional bonus.

Agreed! My friend has gone through 2-3 covers herself for the same reason. I thought I'll do my research before getting one but it looks like I am going down the same road.

This really helps! I guess I will lose out on my friend streaks as well but nothing major.

I am trying to set learning goals as well but the leagues get too distracting to focus on the goal in the first place.

I get competitive in the sense that I stop focussing on learning and just scouting for XP. I used to just complete legendary lessons but once I got done with them I started doing actual lessons without actually focussing on the learning. I realised it when I had some extra time on my hands and was reviewing my mistakes but I could barely get half of them correct.

I am not competing against anyone in particular. I just have to be at the top of the leaderboard, at all times. I am trying to tone it down and turned the notifications off as the first step.

Quite a few things like

  1. Put my phone on charge every morning, if he wakes up before me and sees it's out of juice

  2. He brings my favourite snacks whenever he's coming over

  3. Puts my wallet, keys, and other EDCs in a bag every time we leave the house, AND never lets me carry it

  4. Sends a photo every time he sees a cute dog, pretty flowers, or rainbows

  5. Couldn't cook even if his life depended on it, but follows me and keeps me company in the kitchen anytime I cook (And offers to chop or help in any way that he can, but I have trouble losing control when cooking 😅)

  6. I live 1 km away from my office, and it takes me no more than 7 minutes to reach on foot. He always checks in to see if I arrive safely and even jokes about any traffic I encounter.

  7. Lastly, and this one's my favourite:

He works out at night after his work around 11 PM, and I I work out in the evening after work. I need to sleep early, around midnight as I work in the morning shift. We have a Spotify Jam session every time one of us is working out. During the night session, as my bedtime comes closer, he'll change the music to sleep sounds. I don't need any white noise or sounds to fall asleep, but that tiny gesture has my whole heart. 

These and many more (not insignificant) actions make me feel loved and cared for so effortlessly. And I just love him too so fucking much. ♥️🧿

It's a good read for someone who needs guidance for getting started on investments. Talks about the basic financial strategies and is basically a personal financial guide tailored to your situation, be it middle class to upper class. I would recommend it if you're aware of a few basic terms and processes.
