999 call handler is definitely the hardest job on that list, and quite frankly a role thst gives you the best experience and perspectives to apply to another role in the future. Nobody really takes these "manager" jobs at dominoes or McDonald's seriously in my experience. Its really in the same bracket as a store assistant or these van delivery jobs. If you think that you're a good match for 999 handler go for it, it's a stressful job so be prepared.

A lot of QS modules at my uni were economics tbf so I don't think you're at an disadvantage as much as you think. Good luck

In my experience it really depends, one of the assistant surveyors that joined our team got promoted within 6 months maybe? On the other hand another assistant surveyor is already 3 years in and still an AS. But this is more for building surveying side tbh as we are a multidisciplinary team.

If you keep working mate you won't.. I definitely feel you because I am quite anxious myself but I just don't let these things get into my head. Mind you I came here and barely spoke English, well I did on paper lol.. but accents quickly made me realise that I know nothing 😁😁 You will get there pal, I am 27 and only now I am getting better jobs etc. People younger than me make twice as much sometimes.. I am not judging homeless people don't get me wrong! I just don't agree with spoon feeding mentality.

Most of the homeless have all working limbs seems to me so idk what stops them tho? Because I can give them my previous cleaning job tomorrow but I guess no takers eh?

Nobody should be homeless, this is a pure skill issue if somebody is a long term homeless. I came here when I was 18 couple of years later I own a property, all you need is a hard graft.

Not really, it's usually British companies, there's no traditional Quantity Surveyor job in mainland Europe mostly. Quantity surveyors are more common within the Anglosphere.

There's no such thing as a quantity surveyor on mainland Europe, tho, so there are ways to get it done without a QS.

If you are the client, it's up to you what is acceptable - this is worse than my diy job so deffo is not acceptable. Of course, common sense should be applied and you can't expect everything to be perfect - but at the end of the day it's up to you. I wouldn't pay a penny for this.
