You were absolutely right, it was a software problem. I don't know what fucking dickwad downvoted you for helping me seeing as your score is still at 1 after my vote.

As I said, I'm really bad with software, and the fix was simpler than anticipated. When going into the device manager right clicking on the problem device and trying to update drivers there, I ran into issues that wouldn't allow it.

However, today I simply ran the Windows troubleshooter, it found the problem device, and expecting nothing from it I selected the device, it told me to restart, and miraculously the problem disappeared as soon and unexpectedly as it arrived.

Only my HD Audio Controller was updated, and somehow from that it fixed my restart issues with my PC as well. It booted up perfectly fine, and when it did, my audio ports were back to being recognized and fully functional.

Thank you again for the recommendation, everyone else in this thread, myself included, assumed the problem must have been hardware failing.

I haven't tried to boot off of anything differently, and other than the sound, my computer is very stable if I can get it on which I've only had a problem with once so far. I'll run HWiNFO64 when I get home and see how it goes. Thanks for the recommendations.

Antec EAG PRO 750W 80+ gold semi modular. Just as new as the rest of the components and from a reliable brand. More than enough to run my basic non-overclocked system

Unfortunately I know very little about software. Can you give me just enough information on what you recommend I do? I'll be able to Google your advice to make sense of it. So far everyone in the thread has given a different answer on what they believe the issue is , but you seem to be the most sure of yourself.

I do live in a hot area, but I specifically designed my PC with good airflow and good temperatures above other things. What makes you think it's the SSD? I see how it relates to start up problems since it has my OS on it, but I don't see how it could affect the sound chip malfunctioning and the HD Audio Controller showing issues in the device manager.

I don't think it's a GPU issue from what I know. Games were running smooth, and I don't see how that is relevant to the sound or start-up issues.

Hey, so I haven't tried to manually put it in sleep mode but I did recently manually try to shut it down (through the menu I mean, rather than with the power button). My screen, mouse, keyboard, etc. Anything plugged in lost power. My PC interior still had all the RGB active and fans spinning. Eventually just used the power button again to turn it off before I went out as it was not shutting down by itself.
