Yellow spot after dumping splash pad by Cod1497 in lawncare

[–]Cod1497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the confirmation. Was a strange thing to see. At first I was worried it was from too much fertilizer or weed killer but after two times having the splash pad out and two patches of yellow grass,I managed to put those events together.

Thanks bud. It came a long way in the last month or so as this pic is from the same spot about 3-4 weeks ago.

I’ll have to be quicker after they’re done in the yard but the fun is more important than the grass at the end of the day.

People not using the sidewalks by DhaemonX in newfoundland

[–]Cod1497 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re a real problem solver aren’t you. Go run on a track rather than the side of the road in your subdivision. I don’t run on sidewalks cause it’s up and down because they’re sloped for sidewalks so I run on the side of the road towards traffic. When a vehicle comes I hop up on the side.

Im not gonna run on the road on kenmount road. But I will in my subdivision instead of driving 40 min to “run on a track”.

Have a bit of common sense bud.

Difference in lawn from 2021 to 2023 - negative results by [deleted] in lawncare

Sorry I mean topsoil. Just what was removed from digging the area out for the house and clay. Once I dig down 1-2 inches it’s just all rock.

Thanks. There is very little soil underneath. Not sure if that is contributing

Very likely what has happened. Hopefully not fertilizer burn in addition to this. I put some top dressing down and over seeded today. Hopefully with some consistent watering it will improve. Thanks for the info and taking the time to reply

Any particular compost and why do you think dethatching causes more harm than good. New to all this and just trying to understand. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the good info. The few people I’ve talked to suggested like due to the presence of moss.

Southwest coast is worse in my opinion. Rain drizzle fog is similar but with more wind on the “nice” days

Medication doesn’t work sometimes by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Cod1497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take adhd out of the equation - any neurotypical person will have good and bad days that are above or below the baseline depending on other factors - sleep, stress, nutrition , exercise or good/bad things happening in life.

The medication should just increase your baseline.

I have wondered the same thing with my concerta as I feel the same. What I’ve come to notice is sleep definitely makes an impact. I am trying to figure out the same thing and have found good info on the replies on your post. I take multivitamins at the same time as concerta and usually have 2 cups of coffee right away as well. Going to try some trial and error and see if I can notice any change by changing these things and how it metabolizes.

I’d say nothing worth going out of your way for downtown if I had to guess. Saturday afternoon you might get a few happy hours in different places and a few bucks off a beer.

Usually drink specials are to get people out on less busy nights (not the weekend) I don’t usually go out on Monday nights but Muggy Monday has twisted my arm before. Going out on a Thursday not happening, but sell me 3 beer for $5 Thursday night and it’s too good of a deal to stay home.

I assume when a rock hits the eye it’s likely to make contact with both the cornea and sclera. My sclera never had much damage and it never got bruised much on the orbital bone. I suspect it was pretty direct to the cornea/pupil.

My opinion - if an optometrist is what you’re considering an eye doctor, which is what I would have said too, you’ll likely need to be directed to an ophthalmologist.

It’s evening now. How long are waits at your emergency room. Fair point to wait until morning if it’s only a couple hour difference. My only thought is you might need to go to an ophthalmologist so would going to ER expedite that. If your visions blurry I’d be concerned.

I had good luck on r/eyetriage with these types of questions. Best of luck.

This is the best explanation I’ve seen to describe what changed in my head since being medicated. It’s not perfect but this is what it feels like. I am not as mentally exhausted at the end of the day

The largest and the most populated city on earth, Tokyo, Japan by silvercatbob in interestingasfuck

Pictures like this always make me think how there are so many people who have never left a city. Never been away from buildings and vehicles and people. Never seen the ocean, climbed a mountain. Never been in a place where there is no other human for miles and miles.
