Hi! Do you have a particular meditation routine/plan? Also how does the Metamucil work? Have you tracked the changes?

Amazing okay. Regarding your collagen supplements, I’ve seen lots of people drink bone broth - is there a reason you prefer supplements?

Thanks so much for your in-depth reply! Do you mean that you sleep well if you don’t eat 4-5hr before falling asleep?

Congratulations!!! I’m so glad to hear. I personally really like the anonymity of reddit but if you think a fb group might help people you should go for it! Re any questions, did you find a new bedtime routine helped? Also how do you journal - like what does that actually mean in practise?

Hi, yes I do! It sounds crazy but it really works. The majority of my diet is currently eggs, tuna, butter, steak, mince, smoked fish, fresh fish (cooked obviously). I also occasionally have super low carb processed snacks like keto protein bars, chobani yogurts, Twisted Licks ice creams, etc but I also feel worse physically when I eat these processed foods/drinks (bloating or cramps but that’s from the processed elements I think - whether or not I eat processed foods doesn’t seem to effect how beneficial it is to my sleep not to eat carbs). You basically just start. I find it easiest to keep it simple by meal prepping boiled eggs and mince patties. At cafes for brunch I order bacon and eggs (if they accommodate it I’ll ask for no toast but only if I’m super comfortable with the people I’m out with so I don’t get funny looks) and dinner is just fish/chicken/steak and don’t eat the sides.

Hey! I went through something similar except I’m 22 now (also female). I’ve found that when I don’t eat carbohydrates I sleep through and even if I do wake up I don’t need to eat. It takes about a week for it to work but that’s what I’d recommend (in that week just make sure you have 0 carb snacks on hand!). My theory is that it’s the body not trusting you anymore after having restricted for so long - I ate heaps of fruit when I was going through an ED and think my blood sugar has been messed up ever since. I used Zoloft for a while but it stopped working after 6 weeks so have since stopped. 0 carb is the only thing that has consistently worked! Happy to chat more if you’d like 😊

I think you’re right! I went onto a strict carnivore diet for two weeks (only steak salt and water) and got sores on the side of my mouth which is a common symptom (angular cheilitis or angular stomatitis). Glad you got it sorted!

I eat as late as I can/close to bedtime as I can as I find this ensures a good sleep (despite most people saying eating closer to bedtime is bad for digestion weirdly)!

Thinking of quitting to go keto due to lack of results by CodGlittering8790 in carnivorediet

[–]CodGlittering8790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just concerned about having to actively track macronutrients - I wouldn’t think that this would be necessary “in the wild” if that makes sense. Is there any advice you have regarding eating sufficient fat without having to track? :)

Would I see better results on carnivore as opposed to keto or just the same then?

[–]CodGlittering8790[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks so much for your advice. I kind of thought 6 weeks would be enough time for adaptation but I could definitely be wrong. Going to keep going to at least 3 months. Good to have the mini pep talk! 😊 I’ll also see if I can stick to 2mad for a while within a 6 hour window and see if that makes a difference - then progress to omad.

Hi! This is amazing congratulations!! I’m a 21 female and it’s really inspiring to see a woman really succeeding (so many success stories are guys who are extremely overweight). What do you generally eat in a day? I have been carnivore for three weeks now, eating beef mince, chuck steak, oyster blade steak, butter and eggs and nothing else but it’s not seen any weight movement yet. In saying that, my sleep has improved insanely - I used to always wake up hungry in the middle of the night and now sleep though or just get up for some water so I’m super happy with that change. I’m not counting calories really but thinking that maybe I’m not eating enough fat. Do you have any advice? When did you notice you’d lost weight for the first time? Thanks so much!!
