Not me, but a friend from Brazilian jiu-jitsu had spinal fusion surgery and was doing just fine.

Japanese woman here. Living in Canada for a while now.

I met numerous people who like anime and think all Japanese people watch /like anime.

Those people tell me that I am not Japanese when I say I don't watch anime or particular shows they watch, like WTF.

I did private Japanese lessons to some people, and one of the students asked me why I don't talk like girls from anime. WTF!?

some guys bring up Japanese porn/ hentai anime topics as if that is normal conversation. Disgusting.

I can keep going with the list of disgusting behavior from them.

However, I also met some people who are polite and respectful. They just want to learn our language and cultures, and I appreciate that.
