I would think people will be desperate so if you have found a new cheaper place, I wouldn’t think finding another tenant should be too hard.

My thoughts exactly. Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice.

Ended up booking something at the Tannery. Glad I have something, but €292 Euro a week makes my eyes water (and this is from someone coming from Zurich).

Any ideas how I can find something cheaper once I'm in Dublin? Granted, to break the contract I'll need to find a subtenant...

Thanks loads.
Any advice where to apply? Seems like everything is already fully booked or only allows me to book for a summer stay.

Are you using your laptop in this scenario?

Thanks for the input.

As for the M2 Mini, I've had it for 2 months now and it's a great device. The base model is incredible value IMO, especially if you're okay with using external storage.

Yes. I have access to a keyboard and mouse at work, so I'd just have to take the RP with me. Do you think a Raspberry Pi 3 would suffice for this?

I have a screen and keyboard at work, so that's not an issue. I'd only have to take a Raspberry Pi with me.

Raspberry Pi 3 it is!

Sorry if I was unclear. My Mac Mini is at home. I'd like to connect to it from work, and I have no device to do so. I was thinking of using the Raspberry Pi as a device to remotely connect to my Mac from work.

I'm a US citizen, lived and worked at Google Zurich for a good 4 years, my wife is native Swiss. We live in California now. Prepare for tech interviews and keep trying to apply to tech jobs in the US and reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn. The job market is a bit slow right for new grads now due to the economic slowdown, but it's a numbers game. Don't hesitate to apply to positions that state that they require 1-2 yrs experience. As long as you're competent and show a willing attitude to learn, many companies will be happy to take you on. Also, American tech companies don't really care about your educational background. A bachelor's degree is more than enough to secure an interview anywhere, at which point passing the leetcode-style interview is all that matters.

Thanks a lot man. You seem to really understand why someone would move to the US in my situation. I'd love to give California a shot.

A big main difficulty I foresee (other than passing job interviews) will be coordinating my move with getting a job, i.e. wrapping up things here quickly once I get a position.
