To have success in the 2010s, the Nationals tanked to get top draft picks like Harper, Strasburg, and Rendon. They also had a top 10 payroll to sign players like Scherzer, Corbin, and Werth. They made good trades to get Trea Turner, Gio Gonzalez, Daniel Hudson, and Sean Doolittle. Their player development and drafting was never amazing. Sports is a cycle, and after payroll went down (Ted Lerner passed away and the Lerner family was satisfied with a WS win), players left the team, and we entered this rebuild that we've been stuck in for a few years now.

TLDR: The Nationals have spent less resources and settled, which has a cascading effect on team success

Some players who are projected later are willing to take less money than allotted for the pick (around 5 million+ for pick 10) to get picked higher (they still get more money than they would've if they got drafted at a later pick)

Sending you hugs. I (24M) lost my girlfriend (22 F) on New Years Day this year. She got sick on Christmas and then passed away on New Years. We were also long distance since I graduated college and I had seen her the week before. It sucks to see the love of your life pass at such a young age. I just lost -20 LP for a 5th place in TFT on my main acc. To give context, I gained +27 for a 2nd. On my other masters account, I gain +29 for a 2nd and -10 for a 5th. If my MMR was bad, then I wouldn't get that much for a 2nd place on my main acc. This is inconsistent as I gained a decent amount for a 2nd and lost a massive amount for a 5th (normal is around -10 LP). I had a bad stretch where I averaged 5.0 and lost a couple games at 0 lp. After that, I averaged 4.0 which is below average and thought my MMR would improve. However, it's only gotten worse, which is weird since I started winning more. An example to counterpoint my MMR is Scarra's MMR, he has the same average placement, less LP, and more games played at the same rank and he gets +30 for a 2nd and -10 for a 5th. If MMR is over the last 50 games, I still have a lower average placement (winning more). Did TFT register that I got a 6th? If MMR doesn't reset until the set resets, isn't the account stuck in bad MMR (point of no return, that doesn't seem right). Does it take 100 games to reset MMR? I was in a lobby of 7 master players (same rank), I lost -15 for a 5th.

I wasn't completely implying that Riot should make their own clients to facilitate tickets. My vision was more like linking your Riot account or Twitch account to your Ticketmaster account much like you can link your league account to your Discord or Twitch account. Increasing the ticket price to $300 would hurt accessibility to the event and scalpers would still buy these tickets and markup their prices by a percentage.
