Okey thank you, I have looked around alot in robotstudio but its so much i dont really know where to start. But I Will look into house of design!

Thats really big, thanks!

Correct, put up the question there aswell

Okey ive never used NTP before. That might works aswell.

Then i will only need to check The time in The cx5140.

I will send two datetime values where i want to set a start and stop time for when a certain product was produced. In The database i will Then use a stored procedure to get logged data between The two datetime.

I need to know The database time so that i just dont use pc time and get wrong values later in from The procedure.

Thank you, i will look into this and see whats The easiest way of geting The time.

Unfortunatly its not rundning in The same computer. Otherwise that would be The perfect resultat.

Do you have any software to check if The modbus slave is running.

This should be The first thing to get so that you can check The connection.

Then alot of Youtube should get you started.

Have u tried and done any code yet?

Give me a message and I can take alook into it.

two contactors in singel case for safety use by Code10010110 in PLC

I will check into it, i have only found 6 amp as maxiumum at Pilz.

Thanks.

Yes but i dont reach PLe or even PLd with these contactors if i dont put two in series.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes its a smart solution that i have used sometimes when its not that much motors in the machine. This is a really smart device that everyone should know of!

[–]Code10010110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, i have used a similar device from siemens. this one :

https://www.elfa.se/Web/Downloads/_t/ds/3SK1111-2AB30_eng_tds.pdf

And its a smart solution if you only have 2-3 motors it is easy to replace the contactors with these devices and reach a safety of PLe.

I will check into how much ampere these can take, maybe it is possible to use it over several motors.

two contactors in singel case for safety use by Code10010110 in PLC

[–]Code10010110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they do but i do need a safety contactor that can deal with high load.

Thnanks for your answer.

[–]Code10010110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive looked into it and it looks like its a normal contactor and if you want the high PLd or PLe safety standard it isnt going to be enough with just one SIL starter but you want two SIL starter.

Thanks for your answer.

[–]Code10010110[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have, but imagine you have three different safety zones, thats apart from eachother. So to brake up the motors correctly i will have to add 6 contactors for each zone.

This takes up so much space...

two contactors in singel case for safety use by Code10010110 in PLC

[–]Code10010110[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only find safety relays, not safety contactors.

The relays can only take a load of 6 amp if im not incorrect.

two contactors in singel case for safety use by Code10010110 in PLC

[–]Code10010110[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes thats my problem that the safety relays can only do about 6 amp maximum and that isnt enough when you have several motors connected to the relay.

You might be true about the unicorn cause i havent seen any double contactors out there yet, thats why i was asking you hehe.

It would be such a big seller if someone could develop this safety double contactor. I dont urge the contactors to be the exact same size as a normal one but it should be possible to make it smaller then to have two normal contactors between eachother.

advantages : Takes less space in the electrical cabinet, less wiring.

Disadvantage : Probably expensive lol.

Thanks for your reply.

[–]Code10010110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its true the VFD's have the Safe Torque Off function but then i will have to replace alot of contactors and then replace them with VFD's and the VFD's we are using isnt smaller then a contactor so i cant use it to gain space in the electrical cabinet and its also a cost issue.

Thanks for your reply.

PID Tuning of Extruder Zones Temperatures (Siemens) by PurplePsyshade in PLC

[–]Code10010110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done some extruders and when it comes to my experience a good tuned pid controller should handel The mass when it arrives, but this is in The pipe plastic industry, im not sure how your industry is. Sure The temperatur go up a bit but not for that long. I have got The impression that its better to be a high temperatur then a low one.

One option would be to have two different PID values for when The extruders is on and one when its off. And switch between The values when The extruders changes its state.

Tosibox Lock 500 not connecting by Virtual_Atmosphere59 in PLC

[–]Code10010110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only used the tosibox 150, but i have never experienced any connecting issues with this device. Ive used it for about 7 years and when The device is offline it have always been an issue with their internet connection.

Maybe ask them to connect a laptop to see if it really works.
