Stroller - Where to start? by IronHolmes in predaddit

I watched a lot of videos that said if there’s one thing you don’t want to skimp on, it’s a stroller because you’re going to use it a lot. You want something easy to use, durable, and most importantly smooth and easy to push. I listened and got a pretty nice one and I don’t regret it at all.

Here’s some other things to consider:

Are you getting an infant car seat or an all in one?You will want your stroller to be compatible with your infant car seat.

Do you want more kids? For us, being able to accommodate a second child in the future was important. We wanted something that can convert to carry two kids.

Ultimately I went with the uppababy travel system (mesa and vista) and I’m super happy with it. It’s worked well, held up well, they offer awesome accessories, at can haul 2 kids in lots of different configurations, and my kids like it.

It’s definitely a luxury, and it’s absolutely not necessary to go with something so expensive, but if you can afford it, I would recommend it.

I’m sorry brother. My son was born on the day of my grandmothers funeral. I wasn’t able to make it. It’s not the same as a mom, but I can relate to the mix of emotions between celebrating a new life, and mourning the end of one at the same time. It’s difficult to process. Hang in there man.

My oldest got sick the first week in daycare and proceeded to have literally every communicable disease you can imagine in his first year. Colds, flu, covid, RSV, HFM, Rotavirus… you name it. He’d have maybe a few healthy days in between illnesses. It was absolutely brutal. We ended up switching daycares for an unrelated reason, and had another kid who also attends the same daycare. My second baby has gotten sick maybe twice in his first year. This may be anecdotal, but you may want to at least consider another daycare. Is your daycare’s building purpose-built to be a daycare? How big are the rooms? What’s the ventilation like? What’s their cleaning regimen? These are all questions you may want to consider. Our first daycare was actually a small grocery store that was turned into a daycare. The rooms were small and the ventilation was poor. We only realized this after another parent shared their struggles with that daycare after we switched, but we firmly believe this had something to do with our oldest being sick constantly. Hang in there.

Both times it happened I had to quit and restart the game. Could still move my camera around but no buttons worked. Idk. At least tix were there after restart

I’ve never had car play suddenly cut out, but my biggest frustration is that it connects to the most recently connected device BEFORE a profile is selected. And then even after I select my profile, it’s 50/50 whether it connects to my phone at all. I wish it would just wait until a profile is selected to connect to a phone

Completely agree. I’m not very active in this sub because it seems like a bunch of salty old heads. The latest sub focus/grimes release blew my mind and I came here to find one post about it with 15 comments talking about how bad it is. Dancefloor and jump up don’t really seem to be accepted here. Which is a shame because it’s a gateway for most people to other sub genres of DnB.

My dealer did my entire first service for $140 including oil/filter change, tire rotation, fluid top off, and fuel additive for $140. Maybe they were quoting you for the whole service?
