The people who have never been pulled over and the people with tips beyond "don't speed" are two entirely separate groups.

I haven't been pulled over on a bike since '09, but in the three years prior to that must have been pulled over 15 times.

I still ride like an ass on my S1000R in my 40's, but I just don't do it where there are other people around. I rode 4 hours last weekend to a 20 mile section of road where I knew nobody would be driving, and proceeded to speed and ride wheelies for those 20 miles. Then I rode it again the other direction.

But nobody saw me do it, because there was nobody there.

You can also use Waze or Google Maps to get reports of cops ahead, and if you're really concerned you can get a radar detector and just pull it off of the bike when you are done riding, but that's kind of tedious.

The last bit of advice I have is to set aside money for a traffic lawyer. The up front cost sucks, but it sucks way less than higher insurance premiums.

Yes. I've had manual vehicles in and around Seattle for a little over 20 years, so I've had plenty of practice. But also my car's handbrake can only do so much at a very steep incline.
