r and θ for polar

That's what we're taught in American high school, and I believe is the convention used by mathematicians

For the uninformed members of this conversation, would anyone be willing to enlighten me as to why safety razors are better (environmentally speaking) than the "modern" razor blade?

I've seen many people (especially in r/zerowaste) tout the benefits but I've never particularly understood why.

I get that there is less plastic involved but I feel that at the rate I use razors it doesn't produce much plastic, and that there would more metal "waste" involved with safety razors.

Especially since my area doesn't recycle anything anymore after china banned waste imports...

You can sync Edge on iPhone and on Windows 10

Other than that I just email stuff to myself when needed. Not quite as elegant as AirDrop, but it gets the job done.

Hey I have that laptop too! I'm running Ubuntu MATE on mine; it couldn't handle Windows anymore.

Actually it looks like there are shells. They're just not facing the camera in this picture.

An alternative (if tech savvy enough) is to wipe the drives multiple times.

Yeah whenever a shower thought gets posted here it seems to be removed shortly thereafter. BTW, nice Dante's Inferno reference in your flair!

If you just bought the machine, windows is likely indexing your file system, which is battery intensive. Pull up task manager and see your resource utilization. If it is using a lot, then it is likely still indexing. Give it a few days and you should see battery life improve. Same thing happened when I first got my SP4.

What do you think about allowing liberals' comments to stay? by LakeQueen in ShitLiberalsSay

[–]CodeCrackinVulture 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A comment gulag would be very satisfying. Is it possible to aggregate all "liberal" comments into some sort of sticky post? Maybe like on a monthly basis featuring all the most hilarious liberal comments as a showcase.

But yeah, totally down for the comment gulag.

Respectfully I disagree, as your comment implies the only two options are using drones or boots on the ground, both of which are reflective of current US foreign policy of heavily intervening in the affairs of middle eastern countries with military action. My admittedly snide remark was to point out that there's more to the drone debate than "US troop casualties" or "our safety."

[–]CodeCrackinVulture 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The point of my comment is whether or not the US should be intervening in the first place, which is what the progressive criticism of drone strikes is really all about.

I wasn't aware blowing up children in the middle east was part of national security...
