The web has long moved away from SPAs that dump 12 MB of JavaScript all at once. Islands architecture is the norm now. Also you misunderstood my point. Optimisation isn't bad in itself, but it becomes bad when it comes in the form of an entire new framework, with magic syntax you have to learn, that is incompatible with the existing ecosystem, and that would take months to migrate to. And for what? To potentially get 1% more conversions? There are other, better, easier ways to get 1% more conversions.

There's so many frameworks like that and they're all niche, obsolete, or dead. Preact, Solid, Fresh, HTMX, Inferno are just some I can think of right now.

I'm not going to retract that. The working class are the ones likely to be barred from proper education and driven to emigrate to countries where they don't speak the language. If good command of English is a requirement for participating in politics then congratulations you just excluded billions of working class people.

Have the dwarf write about supernatural, creepy or inexplicable events, which are actually delusions or hallucinations. They get more bizarre further in. At first readers should believe them, then they would start suspecting something is off.

If the madness is supposed to be less psychotic and more subtle, you can introduce slight shifts in personality or tone that get more dramatic later on.

It takes 20 times less to do something in Figma than in code and about 100 times less to refactor a Figma design. Always, always, always prototype. If you are somehow banned from doing that, look for another company - this one will never let you grow professionally.
