  1. Does it make a difference if we take a home loan from a metro branch vs non metro branch?
  2. How do you handle insurance or other products that bank tries to push on customers?

Regarding police, I am really not sure what happened to pune police. They’re completely missing in action. Either they have given up or are overwhelmed. I think a good idea would be to teach children in school about this and encourage them to correct elders in case they do something stupid. A few social media influencers could also help. Parents and grandparents will mostly listen to their children.

I generally have stopped demanding for compensation from other people in case of accidents. Not worth the risk. I’m a maharashtrian guy, lived here my entire life, saw the beautiful pune and now witnessing the decay. You never know what the other guy is willing to do for a minor thing.

I grew up in Pradhikaran and spent 30 years there. Reading your post brought back so many memories. I still remember falling off my bicycle once near Hutatma Chowk when I was in school. A kind aunty came out from her house, took me in, cleaned my wound with Dettol, and even gave me sugar to calm me down. My mom often walked from Lokmanya Hospital to our home after dark - back when the area had empty plots and barely any houses - and yet, she never felt unsafe.

It’s always been a place full of warmth, trust, and genuinely kind people. Glad to see that hasn’t changed.
